10 Steps to “finding” time: I don’t think time flies out the window much these days. More like the vacuum of the web

The ADVENTISTS , the latest production from Journey Films, has brought recognition to the Seventh-day Adventist church by airing nationally on PBS stations.

Soooooooooooo let’s say you walked into a locker room and saw an adult, ahem, ahhhh, well ahhh, molesting a child. Hard to say isn’t it? What would you do? I know, I know if you walked into a room and saw someone doing this unthinkable thing to a child you would yell, scream and knock the attacker silly. Wouldn’t you? And then you would go directly to the police and tell the whole story. I know you would

I belong to the group “Jesus Daily” on Facebook, and this last week they had four posts about things God taught us through the ark. I liked them and thought I’d share them with you. 1. Don’t miss the boat

Sometime, as you know, there seems to be one thing that sticks out in my life each week; one thing that plays through the events of each day. Well, I could try to write a little thought for this post, but this text basically says it all.

North American Division (NAD) leaders voted October 31 to reaffirm the division’s unique policy allowing ordained or commissioned ministers to serve as presidents of local conferences and missions. This action was taken three weeks after the NAD’s request for a world church policy variance was turned down during Annual Council meetings in Silver Spring, Maryland. The recent action (approved by nearly a two-thirds majority) broadens opportunities for non-ordained leaders, including women, to be elected to top positions in any of the division’s 58 conferences

Ladies from across Kansas-Nebraska gathered in Scottsbluff (Nebraska) over 10 days to host the first “God in Shoes” Women’s Ministry program. Outreach activities for the September event included food drives, Family Fun Day, Supper & Seminars, Ladies Only Free Spa Day, “Welcome Baby” baskets, food boxes and painting at the local women’s shelter

Dr. Marlin Meharry (left) of Harvey, ND, received the 2011 North Dakota Dental Association Outstanding Achievement Award. Marlin Meharry is not just a dreamer, although he dreamed all his life of serving others across the world and pursued a dental degree to help achieve his dream.

Once again I want to thank my daughter, Stephanie, for helping me at the end of a busy day. She wrote the following thought and is graciously allowing me to share it with you. – Buffy “I have found that there are moments in my life when God allows me to catch his scent ever so briefly. Other times I feel him brush against my arm or see Him dance in the corner of my eye, only to have Him disappear when I try to look in His direction. It is a frustrating feeling–a roller coaster emotion. My heart skips a beat when I realize He decided to show up; butterflies rise in my stomach, and my excitement builds as I try to hang on to the moment and comprehend the power of His presence. Then, before I get the chance to tell Him how happy I am that He came, the same ordinary moment that announced His arrival seems to whisk Him away, and He is gone. “For years this frustrated me and, at times, paralyzed me. The seeming absence of God in the ordinariness of life left a hole in my heart that nothing else could fill. It was only when–in one ordinary moment I felt His breath on my ear and heard Him say my name–that the fleeting glimpses of God began to seem less fleeting. There was no obvious power in the minute that He chose, nothing that allowed it to stand out among all of the other minutes in this life, except that He was there. I felt my heart skip a beat and the butterflies begin to rise in my stomach as I heard Him whisper, ‘Stephanie, find Me here too.’ That sweet whisper was a promise. He promised me His constant presence, and then He invited me to see Him in the ordinariness of this life.” Look for Him. Quiet your soul so that you can hear His whisper, and let the ordinariness of life be filled with God.

Several weeks ago, while driving on I-35W from Ft. Worth to Keene, Texas, I remembered an experience that I had had years ago when driving the same stretch of road. One of our very dear friends was the officer that patrolled the section of I-35W that runs in front of Huguley Hospital.
