If you’re in the mood for a taste of the orient, this easy recipe is a great place to start!
1 1/2 C unsweetened pineapple juice
1/2 C + 2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 C apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice concentrate)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 C soy sauce
In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine all ingredients. Whisk out all lumps and stir constantly until thickened.
Note: Use this sauce with meatballs. Just pour over meatballs in a 9″ x 13″ pan. Heat until bubbly.
Servings: 2 3/4 cups
