This sauce gets its name from the way it tantalizingly drifts through the house.
1/4 C canola oil
4 cloves garlic
1/4 C unbleached white flour
1/4 C chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1 46-oz can tomato juice
Salt to taste
In a large kettle over medium-high heat, saute garlic cloves (left whole) in oil for 2 minutes. Add flour, chili powder, and cumin. Saute for 1 minute to bring out flavors. Add tomato juice and stiar until there are so lumps. Add salt to taste, Bring to boil, then remove from heat.
Serving Suggestion: This sauce can be used over haystacks, as a tortilla chip dip, or served with hot dogs. The uses are limitless.
Servings: 1 1/2 quarts
