Dear God: Your word tells us there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:11). So, time is precious. We measure life by time—although you created us to live forever. To a great extent, you control the length of our days. Please help us to use our allotment wisely. Teach us that time is life.
Time is also love. Help me to share it in ways that bring blessing to others and honor to you. Keep us alert to the fact that how we use our time today determines tomorrow’s harvest. May our use of time result in a harvest for your kingdom. Forgive us for the time we’ve needlessly wasted. Help us to “redeem the time” (Ephesians 5:16) so we can spend eternity with you.
