13: Into Eternity – Singing with Inspiration

Growing in a Relationship With God has many wonderful steps in it. There are several beautiful hymns from which to choose as a theme due to all the changes that come along when we grow in our relationship with God. On page 31 we see that “the most powerful weapon is prayer” to help us through our growing times. Therefore, we will wish to sing
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus – Hymn 290 to keep learning every minute of the day in our journey. To help with this journey, Lord,
Give Me The Bible – Hymn 272 to instruct even more with the Holy Spirit encouraging along the way:
Hover O’er Me, Holy Spirit – Hymn 260.

This is our last week for 2^nd Quarter, 2026, and our lesson study can be revealed in so many hymns, that we could sing our way through the entire lesson time.

Sabbath afternoon encourages us to say, “we should fix our eyes on Jesus” and therefore sing
Hymn 290 – Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.

Sunday tells us more of what is happening today in our world just as does
Hymn 617 – We Are Living, We Are Dwelling then teaches us to
Watch, Ye Saints – Hymn 598. On reading Psalm 80 we reflect on the Psalmist wanting us to reflect the shining of our gracious God. So,
Let Every Lamp Be Burning Bright – Hymn 595.

What a wonderful and joyful time it will be (Monday) to be
Face To Face With Christ My Saviour – Hymn 206! We are to keep watch as
We Know Not The Hour – Hymn 604 of Jesus return when “the tombs of those who fell asleep in Christ will open as they rise first.”
Hymn 174 – Star Of Hope verse 3 sings of rising from the grave, and then in verse 2 of
Hymn 442 – How Sweet Are The Tidings we see “the mossy old graves where the pilgrims sleep shall be open as wide as before”: Hallelujah! This day of study makes us sing
Hymn 494 – We Would See Jesus and tells us, “we will hear His voice”. Some still question
O, When Shall I See Jesus – Hymn 448 and the hymn goes on to give the wonderful answer needed by so many. Revelation 22:6 closes the day with “for God is faithful, and His promises are true”. I want to be found
Standing On The Promises – Hymn 518.

The beautiful bride (Tuesday) is found in verse 2 of the glorious hymn
We Have This Hope – Hymn 214 and also in
Hymn 219 – When Jesus Comes In Glory verse 4.

As we learn more on Wednesday of how to “Follow The Lamb” and be reunited with our loved ones, we look forward to
A Song Of Heaven And Homeland – Hymn 472 all because
We Would See Jesus – Hymn 494. It is there in Heaven we will really want to sing
Worthy, Worthy Is The Lamb – Hymn 246 – Revelation 5:12. Revelation then gives us our next hymn in chapter 14:4
I Will Follow Thee My Saviour – Hymn 623. We learn more of how “Jesus, the Lamb, is also our Shepherd”:
Hymn 545 – Saviour, Like a Shepherd.

The title of Thursday’s study “Come!” is found in
Hymn 280 – Come, Ye Sinners. “The invitation is free, offered as a gift of grace.” Revelation 22:20 tells us
Lo! He Comes – Hymns 211 and Christ Is Coming – Hymn 201. The day finishes with
Face To Face – Hymn 206.

We are reminded (Friday) “we need to hunger and thirst for the righteousness of Christ”. Can we categorically say
My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less – Hymn 522 and then pray
Lead Me, Lord – Hymn 691?
