“Be still”

The story is short, but it packs a punch. Jesus saves his disciples with mere words when they were sure they'd die. He will save you, too, if you ask. Mark 4:37–39 Source: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/FFP1FlaKTHE

12: Share Him – Singing with Inspiration

June 14, 2026 By admin

Growing in a Relationship With God has many wonderful steps in it. There are several beautiful hymns from which to choose as a theme due to all the changes that come along when we grow in our relationship with God. On page 31 we see that “the most powerful weapon is prayer” to help us through our growing times. Therefore, we will wish to sing
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus – Hymn 290 to keep learning every minute of the day in our journey. To help with this journey, Lord,
Give Me The Bible – Hymn 272 to instruct even more with the Holy Spirit, encouraging along the way:
Hover O’er Me, Holy Spirit – Hymn 260.

“Jesus gave us a mandate to share His message with the world” (Sunday) so please let us
Go, Preach My Gospel – Hymn 378 all because Jesus said to everyone
So Send I You – Hymn 578.  We are to
Go Forth, Go Forth With Christ – Hymn 377 “to prepare our world for Jesus’ soon return” and we will need to
Give Of Your Best To The Master – Hymn 572 when we do say
I’ll Go Where You Want Me To Go – Hymn 573, which also shows that our actions speak louder than our words.

Monday tells us that Jesus “met their needs and then invited them to follow Him. Please, let us all say
I Will Follow Thee – Hymn 623.

We will then be happy to go and share the love of Jesus to everyone and help with
Bringing In The Sheaves – Hymn 369 (Tuesday). One of the ways to help us to share Jesus is let people know
For You I Am Praying – Hymn 284.

With all the dear wandering people in the world, let us all be prepared to go
Seeking The Lost – Hymn 373 and then we will be
Bringing In The Sheaves – Hymn 369 (Wednesday).

When we “Bring Them Back”, it is all because
God Is Love – Hymn 349 (Thursday).

Please continue to search the scriptures this week to be blessed, and to bless others.

To learn unknown hymns, you will find the accompaniment music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/

Another great resource is for when there is a hymn you wish to sing but can’t find it in your hymnal. Go to https://www.sdahymnal.org/Search and in the search bar type a special word in that is in the hymn. I am sure you will be amazed at the help you will be given.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Comments of the Week June 7-14 “It’s hard to reconcile “God so loved the world” with a version of Christianity that seems determined to avoid it. Wanna Get Away?

June 14, 2026 By admin

Southwest Airlines used to have TV commercials that would feature someone getting themselves into an embarrassing situation and then ask, “Wanna get away?” Then they would advertise their low fares for anyone needing to get away quickly from wherever they were.

In Mark 5:1-20, Jesus meets a demoniac in a very embarrassing situation. He is running around a cemetery naked, cutting himself. He has all the signs of an unconverted heart, ranging from being dangerous to himself and others to sensing no need to wear clothes, which leads to sensing no need for a Savior. See Genesis 3:7 and Genesis 3:21.

After he meets Jesus, everything changes. He is tamed by the Holy Spirit and Word of God. He is clothed. Now that he is in his right mind, I imagine he was horrified by the thought that people saw him running around a cemetery naked, cutting himself. He now realizes that healing does not come from cutting ourselves, but from Jesus being cut for us. See Isaiah 53:5. Now that he is converted, instead of finding it torture to be in the presence of Jesus, he wants to be with Him. I imagine also that he wanted to go with Jesus to get away from all the people who saw him running around naked in the cemetery. If Southwest Airlines had been around then, I imagine he would have wanted to take advantage of those low fares and hop on board to get away to the other side of the world, where no one saw him making a fool of himself.

However, instead of allowing him to go with Him, Jesus sends him back home to the people who saw him running around the cemetery naked. He tells him to tell them what wonderful things God has done for him. It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance (Romans 2:4), and Jesus knew when people saw the goodness of God working in this man’s life that they, too, would be brought to repentance and salvation.

Sometimes Jesus sends us to the other side of the world to share Him, and sometimes Jesus sends us back home to be missionaries. In this case, he sent the man back home to be a missionary, even if it meant witnessing to people who saw him in a very embarrassing situation. Yet he had a wonderful story to tell about how God’s goodness had changed his life. He no longer had anything to be ashamed of. Paul likewise had plenty to be embarrassed about, but this was his attitude,

This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. 1 Timothy 1:15-16 NLT

Jesus may send you to the other side of the planet to share Him, or He may send you back home to the people who saw you in embarrassing situations. So long as the goodness of God has truly changed your life, you no longer need to be afraid. You don’t need to hop on a Southwest Airlines flight to quickly get away. You, too, can confidently declare the goodness of God in your life, which will also lead others to repentance and salvation.

Monday: Unforced but With Power

June 14, 2026 By admin

Daily Lesson for Monday 15th of June 2026

Have you ever wondered how Jesus maintained the motivation to labor, heal, comfort, preach, and teach so many people day after day? We’re told that “when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd” (Matthew 9:36, NKJV). It was Jesus’ love and compassion toward humanity that drove His labor. In a similar way, God’s love in us should compel us to feel the burden of leading souls to Him and to His truth (2 Corinthians 5:14).

Have you ever looked at the faces of strangers in a crowd and thought ahead to eternity, to wonder if they know Jesus? Have you ever felt what can only be the love of God in you toward a stranger in need? God’s love in us compels us to feel the burden of leading souls to Him. Jeremiah expressed this when he said, “ ‘His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not’ ” (Jeremiah 20:9, NKJV).

However, when we share God with others, we should never try to force someone to accept God or His Bible truth. Coercion goes against the very heart of God’s character. God didn’t force Adam and Eve to stay away from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:16-17). He didn’t force people into the ark to be saved from the Flood (Genesis 7:1). He didn’t force the Israelites to remain in their covenant with Him (Deuteronomy 4:29-31). Instead, He met their needs (Matthew 4:23-25) and then invited them to follow Him. Jesus never forced anyone to follow Him or His truth, but He never gives up on us (Matthew 23:37).

As we witness, our approach should always mirror Jesus’ approach. Ellen G. White says, “It is no part of Christ’s mission to compel men to receive Him. It is Satan, and men actuated by his spirit, that seek to compel the conscience. . . . There can be no more conclusive evidence that we possess the spirit of Satan than the disposition to hurt and destroy those who do not appreciate our work, or who act contrary to our ideas.”—The Desire of Ages, p. 487.

We must allow ourselves to be a conduit for God’s service. We live in a world that hates the truth, but that reality shouldn’t prevent us from sharing it in thoughtful, loving ways. Remember that it’s often our own personal testimony that will carry the most weight, particularly in the early stages of witnessing (Revelation 12:11).

Read 2 Peter 3:18. In what ways are you growing in grace and knowledge? How is this evident in your interactions with those around you?

12: Share Him Sabbath School Lesson Teaching Plan

June 14, 2026 By admin

Prepared for Sabbath School Class on June 20, 2026.

Photograph by William Earnhardt

Key Text: “The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned” (Isaiah 50:4, NKJV).

Read in Class: Matthew 28:18-20.

Study: How much authority was given to Jesus? How many nations is the Gospel to be preached in? How many of Christ’s commands should we teach people to observe?

Apply: Read Acts 1:8 and Acts 4:13. How can we apply the examples given to us in the book of Acts to help us share Jesus with others today?

Share: Read 1 John 4:7-11. Share how effective your soul-winning efforts have been when love has been your main focus and motivation, and how effective it has been when love is not the main focus or motivation.

Read in Class: 1 Peter 3:8-15, and 2 Peter 3:18.

Study: What is the Word of God telling us in these verses? In what ways are you growing in grace and knowledge? How is this evident in your interactions with those around you?

Apply: Which of the five virtues listed in verse 8 (unity, sympathy, brotherly love, compassion, and humility) do you find most challenging to practice consistently? Why? How is the Holy Spirit helping you to put these virtues into practice so you can share Jesus with others?

Share: If a coworker or neighbor asked you today, “Why do you have so much hope?” how would you explain it in 60 seconds?

Read in Class: Hosea 4:17, and Jeremiah 31:16-19.

Study: What does Hosea tell us about the sins of Ephriam, and what hope does Jeremiah give us?

Apply: How does knowing that this is God’s response to Rachel’s pain over Ephraim’s waywardness make you feel about those you know who have walked away from a relationship with the Lord? How does this challenge or encourage you?

Share: Your friend asks you how we can share Jesus with those who have turned their backs on Him. What do you tell your friend?

Read in Class: Zechariah 10:1-12.

Study: What words in this passage encourage you as you pray and work to lead others back to Jesus?

Apply: If rain symbolizes spiritual refreshing, what “dry” areas of your life (relationships, career, faith) need you to specifically ask for God’s “showers” right now?

Share: Can you share an experience God gave you where you were able to win someone to Jesus by sharing His love?

Mission: Will you pray for God to give you divine appointments where you can share His love this week?

Ci sono giornate che sembrano un temporale continuo 🌦️

Ci sono giornate che sembrano un temporale continuo. Può sembrare strano, ma Gesù non le elimina, ma le attraversa con te. 🌦️ Porta pace dove regna agitazione, speranza dove c'è solo stanchezza.
