1. Have a volunteer read Joshua 7.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.

- What were the two major causes of Israel’s defeat by the people of Ai ?
- Personal Application: In what ways could your blessings be withheld because of your individual refusal to follow Christ’s instructions in His Word, and try to do things your own way instead? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your relatives states, “What are ways that communities or churches can suffer, and have suffered, because of individuals in the community or church? What examples can you think of and how was the whole community or church affected?” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Joshua 7:19-21.
