1. Have a volunteer read Joshua 5:1-10
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
- Why did the Lord command Joshua to circumcise the second generation of Israelites at this particular time?

- Personal Application: Think of times you have neglected time with God because you were too busy or didn’t think about it. Why is this so easy to do, and how do we fight against itl? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your relatives states, “Why would Joshua, in the middle of taking the promised land by war, choose to have Israel celebrate the Passover?” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Joshua 8:30,31. Deuteronomy 11:26-30.

- What was Joshua’s situation for building an altar to the Lord?
