A covenant is based on conditions. Obedience is an integral part of the covenant relationship.

Deuteronomy 7:9 – Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
8.4 The Stability Of God’s Law
God`s law is the expression of His will. It has never to be changed.
