9: The Foundation of God’s Government – Teaching Plan

Key Thought : As we see the heavenly sanctuary and judgment day, we realize the significance of God’s law and the Sabbath in the heart of God’s law.

1. Have a volunteer read Matthew 5:17,18; Eccl 12:13,14; I John 5:3.

What is the relationship between God’s law and His character?
Personal Application: What reasons do you have for wanting to keep God’s commandments? Are you trying to do the impossible? Share your thoughts.
Case Study: One of your relatives states, “We don’t have to keep the commandments anymore. We are under grace, not under the law. If you are trying to obey the law, you are a legalist.” How would you respond to your relative?

2. Have a volunteer read Revelation 14:6,7; 4:11, Genewsis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11.

3. Have a volunteer read Revelation 12:12,17; 13:7; 14:7,9-11.
