Vanuatu is a tropical island chain comprised of white sandy beaches, stunning sunsets, and lush foliage. But just underneath all of the beauty is the tragedy of water-borne diseases, some of which are fatal, all of which are preventable. Combined with inadequate facilities for proper sanitation and hygiene, and a limited understanding of how these diseases are spread, many people in Vanuatu continue to suffer.
