#BCStewardshipStories This video presents the miracle that God made possible in our ABC last year. This ministry depends on three sources of income to make our literature and food reach our folks here in the BC Conference: 1 – The store; 2 – The Book mobile (truck); 3 – The store at Camp Hope during our Camp Meetings. The ABC truck (book mobile) had been fully inspected to go on the road after being over one year out of circulation due to the lack of a qualified driver. With the hiring of Bro. Johnson Noble for that position, our ABC staff spent two weeks in March loading the truck and getting everything in place for it to start its trip around the province. On March 15, a Sunday morning, one hour prior to the truck leaving the ABC the runs had to be cancelled due to the potential risks of the COVID-19 for our driver and customers who would come into the book mobile. Then, in April, the BC Conference Board of Directors took an action to cancel our 2020 in-person Camp Meeting in the summer for the same reason. So, in a few weeks the ABC lost 2/3 of its income for last year! God had other plans! At the office we all prayed and asked the Lord for a solution for that dilemma. David Haluska, Bro. Johnson Noble, and Sis. Heather Saluka worked hard put in practice a temporary plan to attend the field’s requests and minimize the ABC loss. A drop off system was instituted to take care of that ministry and a “small” cargo van was placed in circulation to bring the orders to our members around the Conference. That creative effort and others paid off. The results? The year of 2020 was the best year ever for the ABC: God rewarded their creativity and hard work, and it experienced a 10,000% increase: the balance between sales and expenses – amazing! Yes, David and the ABC team faced that Goliath and God gave them (all of us included) an “impossible” victory. We are certain that this video will bless all of those who watch it. It reminds us that we serve a God who turns our challenges in great opportunities for Him to show us that He is in control, always! May we be encouraged and praise God together for His answered prayers in continuing to take care of His work and in every circumstance in our lives: "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:12-13) “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18).
