Frédéric wanted a better life for himself and his family, so he decided they should all move to the country, away from the bustling city of Antananarivo, Madagascar. His plan was to live a quiet life as a successful rice farmer. But he soon discovered that while they enjoyed the tranquility of country life, farming was hard work, and he missed his home church in the city. Frédéric was a Seventh-day Adventist, and there was no Adventist presence in their new farming community. One day, while turning the dial on his small radio, he stumbled upon a local Adventist World Radio station. He was overjoyed, and every day he began gathering his family to listen. One of the programs was on farming, and Frédéric decided to implement the farming tips and advice on rice growing. Soon, his rice was the best and most abundant in the region, and it became so popular that it got its own name: “Frédéric rice.” The local farmers wanted to know his secret, and Frédéric saw an open door of opportunity to share his faith with the community. Watch this video to see what happened next and how God used Adventist World Radio to change an entire community. Yours in the Blessed Hope, Duane McKey
