You may not realize this if you live in America where technology is abundant, but for much of the world, radio is still the primary source of information. That’s why radio is key to reaching a large portion of the population on the planet. This is especially true in Uganda, where Adventist World Radio has helped set up seven radio stations, with two more on the way. Recently, a local evangelistic series was held that resulted in 40 baptisms. It was a successful harvest in itself, but the series was also broadcast through our local radio stations. As a result, 200 additional people who had been listening on their radios every night were also baptized! One of those was Charles. He owned a radio station that he agreed to sell to AWR. But once he did, he kept listening to “his” station and was persuaded of the truth. When I visited Uganda earlier this year, I had the privilege of baptizing Charles and listening to his testimony. This would have been the end of a beautiful story, except that it had an unexpected twist—because the ripple effects of sharing God’s Word will often surprise us! Watch this video, where I share the rest of this incredible story. I love to see God’s Word transform hearts—and I especially love it when He uses Adventist World Radio to do it!
