How can we sustain our relationship with God? The Sabbath points us to the unending goodness of God. His mercy never fails us. We are reminded in Psalms 107 verse 1, "To give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed." The Sabbath was made as an unchanging sacrament through which human beings could sustain their relationship with God. It reminds humanity of the sacredness of life.
