From the busiest streets of great cities to the quiet deserts of forgotten nations, God calls His church to move, to love, and to proclaim. We were not called to watch the world from a distance. We were called to walk into it with courage, compassion, and conviction. In a world divided by politics, territories, belief, and pain, the people of God are invited to become windows of hope through which the light of heaven enters human life. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is present in 212 countries and territories. Our global mission continues to focus where need and opportunity meet. We look through three great windows that open to the world. The 10/40 Window stretches across North Africa, the Middle East, and much of Asia. It holds two thirds of the world's population and the greatest concentration of unreached people groups. From Cairo to Delhi, from Riyadh to Bangkok, the gospel faces barriers of language and culture. Yet even there, faith grows quietly. Hope moves from home to home, from heart to heart. These are places where faith must whisper before it can sing and love is the first theology. The Urban Window reaches the great cities that shape the culture of our time. There are 543 cities with more than one million inhabitants. In these cities, there is on average one Adventist for every 89,000 people. These numbers are not statistics—they are people, faces, families, and stories waiting to be touched by grace. To reach the cities is to reach the future. When the gospel enters the heart of a city, it touches the world. The Post-Christian Window reaches into societies that once believed but now doubt, including Europe, North America, Oceania, and other regions where faith has faded from public life. Here, the task is not simply to speak against unbelief. It is to rebuild trust and awaken curiosity. Look through these windows not with fear but with faith. The mission of the church is not the work of a few—it is the calling of all. The mission is not a burden. It is a blessing. May your life become one of those windows, clear enough for others to see the love of Jesus through you. About the series From the Heart is a weekly devotional series in which Pastor Köhler reflects on what it means to be grounded in the Bible and focused on the mission, collectively and individually. Each episode is grounded in the four pillars of the Seventh-day Adventist Church strategic plan: Communion with God, Identity in Christ, Unity through the Holy Spirit, and Mission for All. The series connects biblical faith to everyday life, sharing short reflections and glimpses of how God is at work through the Adventist Church around the world.
