Who is the "man of sin," described in 2 Thessalonians 2 who opposes God and seeks to take His place on Earth through blasphemous teachings and practices? This week Pastor Ted Wilson discusses the third chapter of The Great Controversy, entitled “The Era of Spiritual Darkness.” As the medieval church sought to gain wealth and power, it was led to make a compromise between paganism and Christianity, supplanting the word of Christ with allegiance to a human being—the powerful bishop of Rome. Without the Bible as a safeguard, people had no standard to distinguish between right and wrong and were at the mercy of a corrupt Church and clergy. What followed was an era of spiritual darkness foretold by prophecy. During the 1,260 years of darkness, the word of God was nearly banished from the face of the Earth. Evil had full sway, with unthinkable crimes being committed and celebrated. Yet, God's light of truth is never fully extinguished. Throughout history, He has always preserved a remnant who are true to His Word. BUC Orientation and Induction for new ministers and interns
A combination of 15 newly employed ministers and interns attended this year’s annual New Pastors’ Orientation and Induction programme held at the British Union Conference office in Watford, from 14 to 19 January, 2023. The aim was to introduce attendees to the processes, departments, mission and vision of the BUC and equip them for service and their role within the local church.

Her Dreams Were Shattered . . .
She had married the man of her dreams and her future looked bright, but her happiness was short-lived. Her husband began to change, and soon, what had once been a home filled with warmth and love turned into a cold, unbearable place of silence. As time went on and her husband’s interest dwindled, her fear and anxiety grew, until one day, her worst fears were realized when he told her it was over. Despite her pleas, he left, shattering her once-perfect world. Despair filled her heart and now all she could see was darkness ahead. Forbidden thoughts crowded her mind, and she thought the only way out was to end her life. Taking a rope, she slung it over a beam. Then, to gather courage and drown out her thoughts, she turned on the radio. Can you guess what happened next? I think you can, but just in case, watch the video below and find out! In the end, this young couple finally understood that “unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1).
