10: Repentance and Forgiveness — Singing with Inspiration

Growing in a Relationship With God has many wonderful steps in it. There are several beautiful hymns from which to choose as a theme due to all the changes that come along when we grow in our relationship with God. On page 31 we see that “the most powerful weapon is prayer” to help us through our growing times. Therefore, we will wish to sing
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus – Hymn 290 to keep learning every minute of the day in our journey. To help with this journey, Lord,
Give Me The Bible – Hymn 272 to instruct even more with the Holy Spirit encouraging along the way:
Hover O’er Me, Holy Spirit – Hymn 260.

With all the rushing about in our daily lives we are reminded on Sunday that we need to have time to be
Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus – pre-1985 Hymnal number 618.

Oh, how wonderful to be able to listen to the “Holy Spirit Promptings” says Monday when we are to ask
Come, Holy Spirit – Hymn 269 and Holy Spirit, Light Divine – Hymn 268.

It is so beautiful to read once more from our Bibles that God forgives (Tuesday):
Hymn 299 – Forgive Our Sins As We Forgive. Jesus is so happy to accept our repentance as He died for every person who will repent. There is “Sufficient Grace” for every human being (Wednesday) where we can be seen
At The Cross – Hymn 163 and
Beneath The Cross Of Jesus – Hymn 303 and find there is such
Marvellous Grace – Hymn 109 and that
God’s Free Mercy Streameth – Hymn 110. Wednesday continues with Luke 18:13 “Be merciful to me a sinner”, and this can be sung in
Hymn 297 – God Be Merciful To Me all because our
Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary – Hymn 476.

Thursday tells of Jesus giving us a robe that is white as snow, and this is found in
Hymn 412 – Cover With His Life, specifically in verse 3.
