11: Stewardship and Mission — Singing with Inspiration

Oh, the beauty of studying this quarter’s lessons. We will learn so much of the Love of God (and our Saviour, Jesus) which stands out in so many pages of this quarter. Trying to choose just one hymn for the Theme Hymn was almost impossible, but these ones stood out all through the lesson pamphlet from which you may choose:
Hymn 79 – O Love Of God,
Hymn 349 – God Is Love and then in seeing God’s amazing love we can
Hymn 600 – Hold Fast and
Hymn 602 – O Brother, Be Faithful.

Sabbath afternoon introduces us to the amazing giving of our Lord Jesus, so that we may do as He did:
Hymn 572 – Give Of Your Best To the Master. We are blessed to do this, all because Jesus says:
I Gave My Life For Thee – Hymn 281. May we all follow :The Example of Jesus” (Sunday):
Hymn 623 – I Will Follow Thee. Paul then, in one Bible verse, reminds us very clearly of
The Wonders Of Redeeming Love – Hymn 179 in which we can choose to be
A Child Of The King – Hymn 468 and see the richness Jesus freely gives to each of us as we choose to follow Him, which takes us back to Jesus saying
I Gave My Life For Thee – Hymn 281.

On Monday Paul keeps teaching us many things, including the grace of God:
Hymn 108 – Amazing Grace and
Hymn 109 – Marvelous Grace. The reminder comes near the end of the day’s study, that we can choose to
Give Of Your Best To The Master – Hymn 572 once again (giving keeps going this week), all because we wisely say
I Will Follow Thee – Hymn 623 as we see the example of Jesus in 2 Corinthians 8:9. It is our sincere love of God that keeps encouraging us to say
O Love Of God Most Full – Hymn 77.

As Paul encourages us all to use “Planning” for our giving, we can pray sincerely that God will bless our giving in
We Give Thee But Thine Own – Hymn 670. This sincerity of giving continues in Wednesday’s study.

“Unity” is Paul’s final instruction for us on Thursday, just as we find in verse 2 of
Hymn 214 – We Have This Hope
