When God is silent, thank Him for answering your prayer. That seems odd, but the reality of being a Christian is that praying to God is not like holding a magic lamp in your hands, rubbing the lamp, the LORD pops out, and gives you whatever you ask. Sometimes, as David discovered in Psalm 28, it seems like God is silent. This Psalm was written when King David was under strong temptation to be drawn away with the wicked. The first 5 verses he is crying out to the LORD for deliverance and judgment upon the wicked, and in the last 4 verses David is thanking the LORD for hearing his prayer although he sees no visible evidence that his prayer has been answered.
