1: God’s Mission to us. Part 1 – Singing with Inspiration

September 30, 2023 By admin

“God’s Mission – My Mission” consistently points us to our Gracious God and how He wishes us to portray what He has done for us. In response we will reach out to others:
Hymn 573 – I’ll Go Where You Want Me To Go, Dear Lord, hence our theme hymn. This is in response to
So Send I You – Hymn 573.

Sabbath afternoon’s introduction reminds us how our universe was put into existence by God, Himself:
Hymn 97 – Lord Of The Boundless Curves Of Space.

“The God Who Reaches Out to Us” is perfumed with the amazing love given to us:
Hymn 79 – O Love Of God, How Strong And True,
Hymn 76 – O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go,
Hymn 162 – Wondrous Love,
Hymn 78 – For God So Loved The World and
Hymn 191 – Love Divine. Because of this abundant love, God had “the plan of redemption” in place for us showing
The Wonder of Redeeming Love – Hymn 179 instructing that we are
By Christ Redeemed – Hymn 402.

Monday reminds us that
God Himself Is With Us – Hymn 3. This helps us to ponder and ask
O For A Closer Walk with God – Hymn 315. Abraham was called and able to praise God, and so are we in singing The God Of Abraham Praise – Hymn 11.

“The God Who Continues to Be With Us” (Wednesday), encourages us to go
Seeking The Lost – Hymn 373.

Oh, with grateful thanks, we see “in the place where sin abounded, God’s grace much more abounds” (Thursday):
Hymn 109 – Marvelous Grace.

So, dear people, be encouraged to go forward so that we and all our friends and neighbors will be rejoicing
When We All Get To Heaven – Hymn 633.

To learn unknown hymns, you will find the accompaniment music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/

Another great resource is for when there is a hymn you wish to sing but can’t find it in your hymnal. Go to https://www.sdahymnal.org/Search and in the search bar type a special word in that is in the hymn. I am sure you will be amazed at the help you will be given.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Amen!(0)

The Power of a Mother’s Prayers

September 30, 2023 By admin

Ines Telis came home to an empty house: her children gone. Her children admitted they were under the delusion that their mother’s rules were too strict, and they decided to live with their father, “who had no rules.” As the years passed, they lost touch with God, but their mother never quit praying. God’s Mission, My Mission – Lesson 1: God’s Mission to Us: Part 1 | Sabbath School with Pastor Mark Finley

September 30, 2023 By admin

Series GOD’S MISSION, MY MISSION with Pastor Mark Finley  |
Lesson 1: God’s Mission to Us: Part 1 |
Memory Text: 1: Genesis 3:9 – Then the Lord God called Adam and said to him, ‘Where are you?’  |
Content:  |
1.1 The God Who Reaches Out to Us
This text reminds us that God created us in His image and likeness to have an intimate relationship with Him, characterized by love. He has also given us free will so that our love for Him is authentic, while providing us with clear instructions to protect us from the consequences of disobedience. Despite the entrance of sin into the world, God’s mercy and determination to fulfill His mission of redemption to save fallen humanity are evident. This reminds us that God always approaches us and seeks us, even in our most difficult moments.
1.2 The God Who Longs to Be With Us
God’s promises to Abraham and his descendants in the Old Testament repeatedly emphasize God’s deep longing to be with His people and to serve them. This shows us that God has a missionary nature and actively works to extend His love and blessings to the entire world. The establishment of the Old Testament sanctuary and the sacrifices therein were symbols of the coming work of Jesus Christ, which would ultimately fulfill God’s mission of redemption for humanity. This reminds us of how much God is interested in being with us and saving us.
1.3 The God Who Became One With Us
The Old Testament illustrates God’s missionary strategy, in which He implemented a plan through a chosen people to reveal His nature and purpose to the world. This strategy continued in the New Testament when God, through the incarnation of Jesus Christ, revealed a new dimension of His relationship with humanity. The birth of Jesus shows us that God concretely fulfilled His desire to be with us by coming in human form. The Incarnation of Christ emphasizes that God actively continues His mission of redemption by becoming one with us to show us the way to God.
1.4 The God Who Continues to Be With Us
The life and ministry of Jesus were a revelation of God that went deeper than anything before. In Christ, God’s missionary nature was fully revealed, and Jesus Himself declared His mission to seek and save people. John 3:16 shows how God’s love and mission are intertwined as He sent His Son to bring us redemption. The events of the last week of Jesus’ life, including His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection, connected the hope of the past with the future. His death was part of the reconciliation process, and His resurrection defeated death. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20 assures us that Jesus has all authority and is always with us as we engage in God’s mission.
1.5 The God Who Will Come Back for Us
John 14:1–3 is deeply connected to the end-time message of the Bible. This verse reveals the blessed hope that Jesus will return to take us to Himself so that we may be with Him forever. This promise reflects the Creator’s desire to be with His creatures for eternity. In Revelation 21:3, this hope is eventually realized when God will dwell among people, and they will be His people. This is the most uplifting picture of redemption in which the God of mission fulfills His ultimate plan to be with His children forever. It is a privilege to partake in this glorious reality.

Подлинная история доктрины следственного суда

September 30, 2023 By admin

Source: https://atoday.org/%d0%bf%d0%be%d0%b4%d0%bb%d0%b8%d0%bd%d0%bd%d0%b0%d1%8f-%d0%b8%d1%81%d1%82%d0%be%d1%80%d0%b8%d1%8f-%d0%b4%d0%be%d0%ba%d1%82%d1%80%d0%b8%d0%bd%d1%8b-%d1%81%d0%bb%d0%b5%d0%b4%d1%81%d1%82%d0%b2%d0%b5/

Sunday: The God Who Reaches Out to Us

September 30, 2023 By admin

Daily Lesson for Sunday 1st of October 2023

God created us in His image and likeness. He gave us a perfect world, and His purpose was that we would live in perfect connection with Him, a relationship centered in His most precious attribute: love. But for love to be real, God also gave us another precious gift: free will—the freedom to choose which way to follow. Of course, God gave clear instructions to Adam and Eve about the danger and deadly consequences of disobedience (Genesis 2:16-17).

Come unto Me

Image © Lars Justinen Goodsalt.com

Satan, in turn, deceptively persuaded Eve that she could eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but without any negative results. On the contrary, he claimed that they would “be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5, NKJV). Unfortunately, Eve chose to eat and gave the fruit to Adam, who made the same choice. The perfect creation, then, was stained by sin.

That moment changed God’s original plan and purpose for the newly created planet Earth. The mission of salvation, which had been designed “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4), had now to be implemented.

Read Genesis 3:9-15. What were God’s first words to Adam after he and Eve fell, and why is that statement so significant theologically even today?

Of course, God knew exactly where they were. Dominated by fear, Adam and Eve were the ones who needed to see what was going on. But they also needed to be confronted so they could understand the dreadful consequences of their sin. Satan also needed to be defeated. For that, God then began to present His mission: the plan of redemption (see Genesis 3:14-15)—the only hope of “reconciling the world to Himself” (2 Corinthians 5:19, NKJV).

We need to pay close attention, however, to the fact that before the confrontation and the promise of reconciliation, God came looking for fallen humanity. In spite of the seemingly hopeless situation, God essentially addresses two issues in His question to Adam: our fallen state and His missionary nature. We are lost and in desperate need of salvation. He is the One who finds us with the determination to save and to be with us.

Throughout history, God continues to ask: “Where are you?” In your personal experience, what does this mean for you, and how have you answered Him?

Amen!(0)
