God’s Timing Is Perfect

January 19, 2023 By admin

❤️ Friends, Subscribe to our channel – https://www.youtube.com/c/AdventistWo…
👉 More videos from our Broadcast to Baptism series: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLG…
✅: Donate at https://awr.org/give One thing we especially enjoy during our staff meetings at Adventist World Radio is recounting the stories we receive on a daily basis from around the world. There is rejoicing and praise—and sometimes tears—as we share what God is doing and the lives that are being changed through the ministry of AWR. Below is another video compilation with just a few of these stories. They include: 00:00 Reyna Meet Reyna. Enticed and allured by city life, she leaves her village home with a backpack. A businessman observed that she was overwhelmed and vulnerable. He promised her everything she wanted to hear, but Reyna's perfect dream quickly turned into a terrifying nightmare. Isolated in a room, he paid her with a radio instead of money for food. This turned out to be her saving grace. She found comfort in AWR's message of a Savior who accepts all who come to Him. She planned her escape and was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church as her refuge, God's timing is perfect. Watch the rest of Reyna’s story https://youtu.be/7QEg_XeTapY 00:44 Ruben Meet Ruben. Hit by a bus, his life was turned upside down. While hospitalized for months, he lost everything, including hope. Filled with despair, he returned home in a wheelchair. The depths of depression took him to the kitchen knife drawer. He drew the knife and was about to take his life when the radio suddenly changed stations, peace overcame him as he heard the first test broadcast of the new AWR station. This began Ruben's journey to being baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. God's timing is perfect. Watch the rest of Ruben’s story https://youtu.be/QM-oTtrZLPY 01:23 Tricia Mae Meet Tricia Mae. At a young age, her parents traded her for drug money to an old man. She learned to fear him. As Tricia grew older, his control of her dominated all her emotions. She was always in a constant state of dread, for even the littlest mistakes resulted in pain. Tricia became intrigued by the neighbor's radio. The sound of peaceful music filled her with hope. Our AWR broadcaster received her call pleading for help. Immediately, she was rescued from her captor. Now a baptized member, she shines for God, bringing others out of darkness. God's timing is perfect. – From broadcast to baptism, this is AWR360°. Watch the rest of Tricia Mae’s story https://youtu.be/gzhUrSaE7sk These stories and many more are the reason we exist as a ministry—to share the gospel of the kingdom with every nation, kindred, tongue and people. The Great Controversy Chapter 2: Persecution in the First Centuries – Pastor Ted Wilson

January 19, 2023 By admin

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zCKngWKenM?version=3&rel=1&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1&fs=1&hl=en-GB&autohide=2&wmode=transparent&w=1280&h=720]

The Great Controversy Chapter 2: Persecution in the First Centuries – Pastor Ted Wilson

– This week, Pastor Ted Wilson discusses the second chapter of The Great Controversy by Ellen White, entitled “Persecution in the First Centuries.” –

Christ’s followers suffered humiliation, suffering, and persecution. They were stripped of their possessions and driven from their homes. They were “falsely accused of the most dreadful crimes and declared to be the cause of great calamities…As they became the objects of popular hatred and suspicion, informers stood ready, for the sake of gain, to betray the innocent. They were condemned as rebels against the empire, as foes of religion, and pests to society. Great numbers were thrown to wild beasts or burned alive in the amphitheaters. Some were crucified; others were covered with the skins of wild animals and thrust into the arena to be torn by dogs. Their punishment was often made the chief entertainment at public fetes. Vast multitudes assembled to enjoy the sight and greeted their dying agonies with laughter and applause” (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, page 40).

But despite this, the number of Christians increased. Since Satan wasn’t succeeding in wiping them out through brutal persecution, he tried a more deceptive approach. “Persecution ceased, and in its stead were substituted the dangerous allurements of temporal prosperity and worldly honor. Idolaters were led to receive a part of the Christian faith while they rejected other essential truths. They professed to accept Jesus as the Son of God and to believe in His death and resurrection, but they had no conviction of sin and felt no need of repentance or of a change of heart” (page 42).

This is how compromise and corruption entered the church. “The Bible was not accepted as the standard of faith.” Pagan rituals and festivals became a part of the Church’s practice. “The doctrine of religious freedom was termed heresy, and its upholders were hated” (page 45).

Though ridiculed for their faith, early Christians remained faithful to the teachings of Christ and His disciples. “Well would it be for the church and the world if the principles that actuated those steadfast souls were revived in the hearts of God’s professed people. There is an alarming indifference in regard to the doctrines which are the pillars of the Christian faith. The opinion is gaining ground that, after all, these are not of vital importance. This degeneracy is strengthening the hands of the agents of Satan, so that false theories and fatal delusionslli, which the faithful in ages past imperiled their lives to resist and expose, are now regarded with favor by thousands who claim to be followers of Christ” (page 46).

We are living in the end times. Our only safety is to build on the solid rock of God’s Word. As such, let us ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance as we study the Bible, understand its teachings, accept them into our hearts, and share them to others.

To learn more about persecution in the first centuries, read The Great Controversy by Ellen White at https://greatcontroversyproject.org/.

Is It Possible to Get Along with Everybody? (Can We Stop Fighting?)

January 19, 2023 By admin

The Bible promises that one day God’s people will all live together in peace and harmony forever. However, because we live in a world at war on every level, from international conflict to battles within the family, it’s hard to understand how it is even possible to live together in peace and harmony. === ► Subscribe for new videos: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4fcqiHjODJfZpHIIysc-QA?sub_confirmation=1](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4fcqiHjODJfZpHIIysc-QA?sub_confirmation=1) ► Access free Bible studies: [https://itiswrittencanada.ca/bible-studies/](https://itiswrittencanada.ca/bible-studies/) ► Spotify Podcast: [https://open.spotify.com/show/7DRlZlGkvYb9ZWOB1oGASx?si=1a8cb04adc134a77](https://open.spotify.com/show/7DRlZlGkvYb9ZWOB1oGASx?si=1a8cb04adc134a77) ► Apple Podcast: [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/it-is-written-canada/id1506471104](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/it-is-written-canada/id1506471104) === Follow us! ► Instagram: [https://www.instagram.com/it_is_written_canada/](https://www.instagram.com/it_is_written_canada/) ► Facebook: [https://www.facebook.com/ItIsWrittenCanada](https://www.facebook.com/ItIsWrittenCanada) === Mike and René Lemon are the hosts for It Is Written Canada, a nationwide television ministry that spotlights the life-transforming power of trusting God’s Word. 3: The Tithing Contract – Singing with Inspiration

January 18, 2023 By admin

“MANAGING FOR THE MASTER Till He Comes” will show us that
God Is Working His Purpose Out – Hymn 225 in all our we do and say. May we be encouraged by this hymn for this quarter and that
In Our Work And In Our Play – Hymn 591 we will work until Jesus comes. Hence, a choice of theme hymns for this quarter.

Hymn 538 – The Wise May Bring Their Learning is seen throughout this weeks’ lesson study. Our Memory Text adds
Hymn 195 – There Shall Be Showers Of Blessings and
Hymn 643 – Father, Who On Us Do Shower. These hymns encompass our entire study this week.

Today, and every day, we look forward to Jesus coming again. Oh, what a day that will be
When We All Get To Heaven – Hymn 633 because
That Glorious Day Is Coming – Hymn 209.

To learn unknown hymns, you will find the accompaniment music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/

Another great resource is for when there is a hymn you wish to sing but can’t find it in your hymnal. Go to https://www.sdahymnal.org/Search and in the search bar type a special word in that is in the hymn. I am sure you will be amazed at the help you will be given.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Amen!(0)

3: The Tithing Contract – Teaching Plan

January 18, 2023 By admin

Key Thought: Just in proportion as God has given His property to man, so man is to return a faithful tithe of all his substance. This arrangement was made by Jesus Christ Himself.
January 21, 2023

1. Have a volunteer read Malachi 3:10, Deuteronomy 12:5-14.

  1. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
  2. Where should our tithe go?
  3. Personal Application: Do we have our own discretion as to where our tithe is given? What principles are involved? Share your thoughts..
  4. Case Study: One of your relatives states, “I’m not giving my tithe to the conference. I believe they are misusing the tithe. So I give my tithe to a supporting ministry to further the gospel by radio and television.” How would you respond to your relative?

2. Have a volunteer read Leviticus 27:30, Numbers 18:21-24, Acts 20:35.

  1. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
  2. What is the message of Acts, and how does this relate to the question of tithe?
  3. Personal Application: Share an experience where you found that it is more blessed to give than receive. Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: One of your friends states, “What is the purpose of the tithe anyway? Is it not used to make churches richer, give ministers millions of dollars to live like the rich, or is it used for personal use?” How would you respond to your friend?

3. Have a volunteer read I Kings 17:9-16.

  1. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point in this text is.
  2. What was the widow’s situation before Elijah came? What did Elijah ask her to do before taking care of her son and herself? How does this relate to the question at hand?
  3. Personal Application: What is the difference between tithing on your gross and net income? Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: One of your neighbors states: “I have never given tithe. Are there really blessings that come from doing so? What are these blessings, and how does returning tithe give you a stronger faith?” How would you respond to your relative?

4. Have a volunteer read Matthew 25:19—21.

  1. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
  2. When are we called upon to give an account of God’s funds? What is said to those who have been found financially faithful?
  3. Personal Application: What spiritual and material losses or blessings may unfaithfulness in tithes and offerings bring to the church and individual church members? Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.

(Truth that is not lived, that is not imparted, loses its life-giving power, its healing virtue. Its blessings can be retained only as it is shared.”Ministry of Healing, p. 148).

Amen!(0)
