On the Road With Jesus

May 30, 2025 By admin

A television program in my childhood captured my attention, and I always looked forward to seeing the next adventure. It was called “On The Road With Charles Kuralt.” It aired from 1967 to 1980 and featured Kuralt traveling in a motorhome nearly 50,000 miles (80,000 km) across the lower 50 states in search of stories and people that might have otherwise gone unreported. It usually featured some interesting locations and individuals. I remember thinking how cool it would be to do that.Β

Growing up, I always enjoyed adventure – from climbing trees, riding bicycles, fishing, and camping with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, to the times when Mom would declare that we were going camping, loading up the car with our camping gear. One year we went on a great road camping trip, touring as far as Georgia from Chicago. Seven of us and our dog crammed into our 1971 Ford Torino, loaded to the gills. It’s a wonder the rear bumper didn’t drag. I guess the “wanderlust” was instilled in me by her. Her dream was to tour the country in a motorhome when she retired. Unfortunately, her dream wouldn’t be realized in her lifetime. However, the seeds of her dream had been planted in me. She would have been so thrilled to see her firstborn son and “daughter by love” fulfill it.

Our mini motorhome

Our mini motorhome

During the height of the COVID-19 crisis, we purchased an older mini-motorhome in decent condition from my portion of her estate. Some call it our “Covid-camper.” I prefer to call it God’s Missionary Motorhome. We dedicated it to God’s glory, knowing that He would share with us the joy of sowing the seeds of the gospel, sharing words of comfort and encouragement wherever we traveled, with whomever was receptive.Β  As we travel, we claimΒ  God’s promise,Β “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart: and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6Β  KJV

We have made some great memories and met some wonderful people while on the road with Jesus, and I want to share just a few of the stories from our most recent trip. This trip, we decided to tour Florida.

During our checkout of the Collier-Seminole campground, near Naples, Florida, I met Chuck* at the dump station – where you hook up, dump, and rinse your onboard sewage tanks. He pulled up behind me as I was finishing up. I asked if he was checking in or checking out. He told me he was moving to Koreshan State Park, in Estero, Florida. I told him that was also where we were heading and shared some more of our itinerary, only to discover that we would be at a couple of the same parks at the same time. I told him that maybe we would meet up at the next stop, gave him a thumbs up (because it’s not cool to shake hands at the dump station), and drove away.

I didn’t see him at the next park, but I did at the following one. We would see him riding his bicycle around the campground and wave to each other. A couple of times, he stopped by when he noticed we were outside, and we struck up a small conversation. I could sense a pain or sadness in his countenance, though he, as we all do, tried to hide it. I wouldn’t press to discover the issue.

On the day we were leaving, he moved to the campsite across from us. I noticed that he was sitting in a chair reading a book. That’s when the Holy Spirit nudged me. I felt impressed to say goodbye and share a copy of the Great Controversy, explaining how it changed my life and what the book contained. He immediately took the book and then did something totally unexpected: he gave me a hug with tears in his eyes. He wanted to exchange contact information to keep in touch. Since then, we have been texting each other about our journeys, sharing pictures. When he learned that we would be in his vicinity on our journey home, he even invited us to stop by. Due to the threat of severe weather again, we were unable to do so.

I didn’t realize that he was a lonely, hurting soul. In our texting, I discovered that he is a fairly recent widower, having lost his wife a couple of years ago, and he is still grieving. He revealed to me that the pain of losing his wife caused him to walk away from God, but a cousin helped bring him back to the Catholic church. I offered to help him in his grieving process and stay in touch with him with an occasional text message. We just never know how God can use a casual contact, a smile, and words of encouragement, or even a timely placed book.

Willaim Earnhardt and Time Heischbert

Pastor William and I

Further on in our journey, our itinerary had us passing through the Tampa area. That’s when we arranged to meet up with Pastor William Earnhardt. My wife and I met him for lunch at the Olive Garden restaurant in Tampa. It was a delightful visit as if we were old friends, with good food and fellowship. Somehow, over the chatter, laughter, and food, two hours had whisked by. Before leaving, we had prayer with and for each other, as well as the obligatory photo-op. It was a stop well worth making.

Our final Florida stop – or so we thought – brought us to Fort Pickens Campground, part of the National Seashore on Santa Rosa Island, near Pensacola Beach, Florida.

We had just finished setting up when I checked my email, only to discover that the park would be closing the next day due to the threat of severe weather, which was expected to pass in a couple of days. We had to scramble to find an alternate campground about an hour’s drive away.

Due to the approaching weather, the conditions were quite breezy. As we walked the new campground, we noticed a young mother with a 5-to 6-year-old daughter struggling with the wind to set up their tent alone. We pitched in to help her set up her tent. She thanked us profusely for helping, saying, “I don’t know what I would’ve done if you didn’t stop to help me.” It felt good to help.

A nesting Osprey, at Fort Pickens. The Osprey and its nest were huge.

After the threat of severe weather had passed, we returned to our reserved campsite at Fort Pickens campground. A couple of days later, a new neighbor moved into the campsite next to us. It looked like a youth group, with eight kids ranging in age from toddlers to teens, two dogs, and two adults packed into a travel trailer. We anticipated that these could be very noisy neighbors. We thought they were a church group because the father wore a t-shirt that read something about Jesus and camping. We watched in amazement at how well disciplined and considerate of others these children were. We were expecting yelling adults, fighting children, and barking dogs. None of that happened. Instead, we were blessed to see a Christian family interacting gracefully with each other while being considerate of their neighbors. It was a pleasant blessing. We wanted to talk with the parents and compliment them on how their children behaved and how they conducted their family. However, it seemed they were always busy loading up in their extended van to go places.

On our last day, we finally had an opportunity. We had just returned from riding our bicycles when my wife spotted the father walking with his toddler daughter. She inquired if they were a youth group, to which the father, with shoulder-length hair and kind eyes (reminding me of what I imagine Jesus to look like), chuckled and replied, “No, they are all ours.” Enrique* must have noticed my wife’s bewildered look, because he continued, “Four of our children are adopted; they are native children.” I noticed the tattoo on his left shoulder of angel wings, Psalm 91, and USMC. He was a Marine veteran. Yet he “commanded” his family not as a drill sergeant but very much like I envisioned Jesus interacting with children. We never met his wife as she was kept busy homeschooling the children and tending to their needs. He told us about how, after his military life, he became an excavator in one of the northern states near Canada. Every winter, they would close down the business and, as a family, go on an extended road trip to a warmer climate. Enrique* told us that they were nondenominational Christians who fellowshipped with the Baptists.

The next morning, as we were preparing to leave, I once again got the impression that we should share literature with our neighbor. We didn’t have any more books, but I felt impressed to share a couple of the Amazing Facts magazines – one on the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14, and another on the rapture. Both are attractive and scripture-packed magazines. As I approached the power panel to disconnect our vehicle, I noticed Enrique* outside and alone. I called to him and told him that we were moving on and how it was a blessing to have been their neighbors for a few days. I asked if I could share a couple of pieces of literature that have blessed me in my Christian walk. He was receptive and appreciative. I briefly introduced the subject matter of the literature. Not surprisingly, he hadn’t heard of the “Three Angels Message.” I told him that I was a blogger and asked if I could briefly mention our experience with him and his family while protecting his identity. He gave me permission.

I told him that Jesus is coming soon.

He responded, “I sure hope so!” I said, “It’s this world’s only hope.”

To which he replied, “You know that’s true!” I look forward to seeing Enrique* and Erika,* and their eight children again and pray that they and we will remain faithful to our high calling.

My wife Jeannie and I on the white sand beach of Santa Rosa Island.

We are already planning new adventures and seeking new opportunities to share Jesus with others. Maybe on our next excursion, we will leave books in the lending libraries of the campgrounds we visit. Mostly, we just want to be available for Jesus to use us to spread the Good News and his love for mankind. We want to be “a servant to God, and a friend to man” as we “go on God’s errands.” He gets the glory, but shares with us the joy.

Being on the road with Jesus has been a great blessing and adventure. We have met many interesting and wonderful people whom we hope to meet again, not just in this life but in heaven. We have seen so many wondrous works of God’s Creation. What an awesome God He is!

Get on the road with Jesus,Β  wherever you are. You don’t have to go across the country, or even across town to find people who need the Lord. MaybeΒ  you’ll find them across the street, or the backyard fence. What an incredible privilege it is to share God’s love with others!Β

When we go on God’s mission, all of God’s promises are for us, just as much as they were for ancient Israel:

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”  DeuteronomyΒ  31:8Β  NIV

Until our next adventure,Β  I’m Tim Heischberg,Β  on the road with Jesus.

Seminarians on Fire: Lives Changed Through Field Evangelism

May 29, 2025 By admin

Adventist World Radio’s Lilongwe for Christ began Sabbath, May 14 in Lilongwe, Malawi. As the gospel is boldly preached across multiple sites, hundreds are responding each night—600, 800, and even over 1,000 in one location.   Two professors were moved to tears after just two days, calling the experience life-changing. First-time seminarians are now on fire for evangelism and already asking where they will be sent next.   We are working with local leaders to strengthen smaller sites and mobilize church members for Total Member Involvement and outreach initiatives.   This program is a blessing not only to the people of Malawi, but it also trains and transforms the next generation of leaders for the world church mission.   Pray with us. Share this story. Be part of the mission. #AWR360 #MalawiForChrist #FieldEvangelism #TotalMemberInvolvement #AWRMissionTrips #MissionInMalawi Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZQAjonnoHY

Lesson 9.In the Psalms: Part 2 | 9.6 Summary | ALLUSIONS, IMAGES, SYMBOLS | LIVING FAITH

May 29, 2025 By admin

β›ͺ Lesson 9: In the Psalms, Part 2

πŸ“˜ 9.6 Summary
✨ Hope, Reign, and Mission in God’s Grand Design

………………………………………………………………….

🟦 Introduction

In a world shaken by crisesβ€”whether pandemics, political upheaval, or personal lossβ€”we find in the Psalms an unparalleled voice. Part 2 of Lesson 9 deepens our trust in God’s presence (9.1), hope amid the greatest chaos (9.2), the promise of shared reign with Christ (9.3), the potent images of wine and blood as judgment and covenant (9.4), and the call to carry God’s salvation to the ends of the earth (9.5). These facets of faith help us remain firmly rooted even as the ground trembles.

………………………………………………………………….

πŸ“– Bible Study

9.1 A Very Present Help in Times of Trouble
Psalm 46 calls to us: β€œGod is our refuge and strength… therefore we will not fear” (v. 2). Earthquakes and the roar of war may rage, yet our Rock stands firm. This assurance not only applies to personal crises but also points forward to end-times visions (Rev. 6:14; 2 Pet. 3:12). Christ on the cross is the unshakable foundation of our hope. When we β€œbe still and know” that God is our salvation (Ps. 46:11), we anchor our trust in His everlasting peace.

9.2 Hope in the Midst of Chaos
Psalm 46 and Jeremiah 4 paint a world in total collapse. Daniel 7 shows how one stormy empire follows another, none able to subdue the chaos. Our true home is in God’s kingdom (Phil. 3:20; Ezek. 1:26). Christ’s return will shatter all powers and usher in a new heaven and earth (Rev. 22:1). Until then, we stand unmovableβ€”not in earthly security, but in firm faith in God’s promises (Ps. 46:7–8).

9.3 Under His Feet
Psalm 47:2–5 promises that God exalts His people and places the nations under our feet. In 1 Thess. 4:13–17 we meet Christ in the rapture, while Zech. 14:4 speaks of His foot on the Mount of Olives. The saints share in both aspects of His reign. Satan may claim the earth, but Christ and His followers will ultimately hold dominion over every kingdom. The vision of the new Jerusalem confirms it: we are future co-rulers at Christ’s throne.

9.4 Wine and Blood
Psalm 75 reveals God as a righteous Judge who β€œpours out the cup of His wrath” (v. 8). In contrast, Matthew 26:27–29 presents the cup of the new covenant, where wine symbolizes Christ’s blood. Revelation 14:9–12 warns that those who worship the beast will drink the wine of God’s wrath, while the faithful gain the eternal kingdom through faithful endurance. Judgment and redemption stand closely together in these images.

9.5 That the World May Know Your Salvation
Psalm 67 calls us to receive God’s shining face and make His salvation known among the nations. The three angels’ messages (Rev. 14:6–12) carry on this mission: proclaiming the eternal gospel, warning against false systems, and calling all to worship the Creator. Our vocation is not to remain hidden, but to actively spread Christ’s light across the world.

………………………………………………………………….

✨ Spiritual Principles

  • God’s Presence in Trouble: Our laments are prayers inviting God’s response.

  • Hope Above Chaos: Faith shifts our gaze from the storm to the sovereign King.

  • Partners in Reign: We reign with Christ, not as lords, but as humble servants.

  • Cup of Judgment and Grace: Gratitude deepens when we see wine and blood as signs of redemption.

  • Active Witness: Salvation is meant to be shared, not hoarded.

………………………………………………………………….

🧩 Application in Daily Life

  • Daily Refuge: Begin each day with Psalm 46β€”write one verse on a card and carry it with you.

  • Chaos Journal: For four weeks, jot daily how God’s promises saw you through uncertain moments.

  • Servant Leadership: Once a month, take on a community service project, e.g. visiting elderly neighbors.

  • Symbolic Meal: End an evening with bread and grape juice only, reflecting on judgment and covenant.

  • Light-Bearer Mission: Invite a friend for a walk and share a personal story of faith.

………………………………………………………………….

βœ… Conclusion

The Psalms teach us that God’s sovereign power endures even in the fiercest tremors and calls us to be co-heirs of His reign. Their symbols challenge us to hold judgment and grace in balance and to actively pass on the incomparable gift of salvation.

………………………………………………………………….

πŸ’ Thought of the Day

β€œIn the midst of trembling mountains our eyes lift to the eternal throneβ€”there lies our firm confidence.”

🎨 Illustration – Hope on Dusty Streets

Newark, New Jersey, 2025
Mia Dwyer, a social worker in Newark, had spent years serving the city’s toughest neighborhoods. Crime and economic hardship had driven many families to the brink. One evening, exhausted in her tiny office, she noticed a scrap of Psalm 46 she’d copied years earlier:

β€œGod is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Letting her pen drop, she felt a deep peace envelop her heart. The next morning, she stepped onto a dusty street and saw a young man trembling by a locked metal gate. His name was Marcus; his family had just lost everything in a fire, and he had nowhere to go.

Recalling β€œthough the earth gives way, the mountains fall into the heart of the sea” (Ps. 46:3), Mia took Marcus by the hand: β€œI’m here, and you’re not alone.” She brought him to an emergency shelter, arranged clothes, food, and a place to sleep.

Weeks later, a violent clash threatened to turn the shelter into a battleground. Mia organized a neighborhood meeting in the community center. There she read Psalm 47: β€œGod reigns, let the nations tremble!” She invited everyone to lay aside fear and pray for peace. The atmosphere shifted as gang members sensed something greater at stake than turf wars.

In the days that followed, Mia and volunteers conducted home visits, washing the feet of elderly residentsβ€”a silent witness to servant leadership (Ps. 47:2–5). Word spread quickly: someone was sowing hope amid chaos.

On a cool Saturday evening, Mia prepared a simple feastβ€”homemade bread and grape juiceβ€”for a peace celebration. Lifting the cup, she reminded everyone of Christ’s blood, the source of eternal life (Mt. 26:27–29). In that moment, old hostilities melted away like frost in the sun.

Two months later, tensions had eased. Marcus, now enrolled in a vocational program, hugged Mia and whispered, β€œYou showed me God’s presence when everything fell apart.”

Mia gazed at Newark’s night sky and softly spoke the thought of the day:

β€œIn the midst of trembling mountains our eyes lift to the eternal throneβ€”there lies our firm confidence.”

She knew that God’s salvation shines not only in churches but on America’s streetsβ€”when people serve, shine, and bravely carry the light forward.

✨ Genesis 44 –The Trial and Refinement of the Brothers

🌍 God’s Hidden Hand in Trials and Repentance

══════════════════════════════════════════════

πŸ“œ Bible Text – Genesis 44 (KJV)

1 And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man’s money in his sack’s mouth.

2Β And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack’s mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

3Β As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.

4Β And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?

5Β Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.

6Β And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.

7Β And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:

8Β Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord’s house silver or gold?

9Β With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord’s bondmen.

10Β And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.

11Β Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.

12Β And he searched, and began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.

13Β Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.

14Β And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph’s house; for he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.

15Β And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?

16Β And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.

17Β And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.

18Β Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.

19Β My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?

20Β And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.

21Β And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.

22Β And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.

23Β And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.

24Β And it came to pass when we came up unto thy servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.

25Β And our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.

26Β And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man’s face, except our youngest brother be with us.

27Β And thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that my wife bare me two sons:

28Β And the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I saw him not since:

29Β And if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

30Β Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad’s life;

31Β It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.

32Β For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.

33Β Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.

34Β For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.

πŸ”΅ Introduction

Joseph’s encounter with his brothers marks a turning point in God’s plan: where betrayal and disappointment once stood, reconciliation and repentance now emerge. In this chapter we see how God intervenes in human schemes and turns hearts toward restoration.

══════════════════════════════════════════════

🟑 Commentary

  1. The Setting and Joseph’s Plan (Verses 1–7)

    • Practical Preparation: Joseph orders that grain and money be loaded into their sacks, but secretly places his silver cup in Benjamin’s sack.

    • Purpose of the Ruse: Through this clever tactic, Joseph not only tests their honesty but also examines their loyalty toward Benjamin, the only surviving son of their mother.

  2. The Confrontation and Discovery (Verses 8–13)

    • Plea of Innocence: The brothers vehemently deny wrongdoing and even offer to become slaves or die in place of the guilty. Their solidarity is evident.

    • Discovery of the Cup: When the cup is found in Benjamin’s sack, shock and despair overwhelm them, as signified by their tearing of garments.

  3. Judah’s Intervention and Plea (Verses 14–23)

    • Judah’s Humility: He approaches Joseph not on behalf of the group, but as a responsible representative.

    • Family Circumstances: He describes their father’s old age, his love for Benjamin, and the grief over the presumed death of Josephβ€”strengthening his appeal.

    • Appeal for Mercy: Judah highlights that Jacob’s life depends on Benjamin’s safe return.

  4. Judah’s Willing Sacrifice (Verses 24–34)

    • Father’s Sorrow: Judah vividly depicts Jacob’s unbearable grief if Benjamin does not return.

    • Personal Surety: Judah offers himself as a surety, a profound act of self-sacrifice.

    • Final Plea: He begs to remain as Joseph’s slave in Benjamin’s place, securing clemency for the boy.

  5. Theological Implications

    • Trials for Refinement: God’s ways are not always clear, but Joseph’s test leads to reconciliation.

    • Judah as Intercessor: He foreshadows Christ, the ultimate mediator who intercedes for us.

    • God’s Sovereign Plan: Behind human actions, God’s redemptive purpose unfolds.

══════════════════════════════════════════════

🟒 Summary

Joseph tests his brothers by hiding his silver cup in Benjamin’s sack and accusing them of theft. The brothers profess their innocence, but Benjamin faces slavery. Judah steps forward, describes their father’s plight, and offers himself as surety to save Benjamin. Through this act of sacrifice, their repentance is revealed, and Joseph perceives their transformed hearts.

πŸ”΄ Message for Today

  • Understanding Trials: Life’s tests can refine us. Trust that God works through difficult circumstances.

  • Intercession and Responsibility: True faith is demonstrated by standing in the gap for others.

  • Reconciliation and Grace: Just as Joseph extends mercy, we are called to forgive and show grace to those who hurt us.

✨ The Flood

πŸ“– Read online here

══════════════════════════════════════════════

πŸ”΅ Introduction

In a world once of paradisiacal beauty, deep corruption reigned: idolatry, violence, and moral decay had driven out trust in the Creator. When God saw that β€œevery intent of the thoughts of [people’s] hearts was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5), He announced a worldwide judgment by waterβ€”and at the same time provided a means of rescue: Noah’s Ark.

══════════════════════════════════════════════

🟑 Commentary

1.The Earth’s Fatal Condition

    • Corrupted by idolatry and self-deification

    • Adultery, violence, and licentiousness: violations of God’s order for life

2.Noah’s Commission and Preparation

    • 120 years of Ark-building as a living warning

    • Preaching repentance and extending an invitation to salvation

3.God’s Deliverance for Noah and His Family

    • The Ark as a sign of divine grace and obedience

    • The closing of the door: the end of all opportunity for repentance

4.The Day of Judgment in the Flood

    • The bursting of the subterranean springs and the opening of the heavens

    • Destruction of the unrepentant; preservation of the righteous

5.A Type of the Final Judgment

    • Parallels between Noah’s day and the last days (Matt. 24:38–39; 2 Pet. 3)

    • God’s warning and invitation remain in effect until Christ’s return

══════════════════════════════════════════════

🟒 Summary

The pre-Flood generation abused God’s gifts and life itself, denied Him, and forged their own destruction in sin. God revealed His judgment to Noah, yet at the same time offered rescue to him and his family through the Ark. Those who heeded God’s call were saved; those who persisted in rebellion were swept away in judgment. The Flood displays both God’s holy justice and His merciful deliverance for all who believe and obey.

══════════════════════════════════════════════

πŸ”΄ Message for Us Today

  • Watchfulness and Repentance: As in Noah’s day, our hearts can easily be seized by selfishness and excess. God’s warning calls us to turn from sin and live holy lives.

  • Obedience as Deliverance: Those who heed God’s voice and walk in His ways find rescueβ€”not by their own merit, but by His grace.

  • Eschatological Parallel: The Flood is a sobering picture of Christ’s coming judgment. Let us prepare by living in faith, shunning sin, and sharing the saving message with others.
