Health [How To Reach the Cities Through This Ministry] – Pastor Ted Wilson
In this episode, Pastor Ted Wilson talks about reaching more people in cities through health ministry. As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe in a better city and life. It doesn't only pertain to that "better city" in heaven – the New Jerusalem and eternal life – but it also concerns having a more abundant life. For this, the Ministry of Healing, page 143 counsels us: "Christ's method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, 'Follow Me.'" To illustrate this, Pastor Wilson introduces Dr. Manuel Alva, a physician in the Adventist Community Services Center of Influence in Chicago, Illinois, reaching urban people through health ministry. As one who has experienced high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and other health problems, he knows how it feels to be sick. By applying the eight easy principles of health, he has restored his health. And he has become a different person with God's intervention. Inspired by this experience, he conducts health seminars and cooking demonstrations in his clinic. There are also spiritual lectures about humility, forgiveness, overcoming anxiety, and others. With this, Dr. Alva wants to plant a seed in every person who visits his clinic. Through that seed, he envisions that the entire city will germinate and bear fruit for God's glory through their conversion stories. May this story be a blessing that will inspire you to find ways of reaching more people for Jesus wherever you are. 00:00 Greetings

Are You Leaving Things Undone? | October 28, 2021
In Matthew 23:23, Jesus says, "These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone." All throughout history, humans have often lived in cultures of extremes. We swing from one side to the other. Here, Jesus tells the Pharisees that they should have kept the "weightier" matters of the law "without leaving the others undone"! In 5 minutes or less, let's see why just because something matters more doesn't mean the other things no longer matter. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BILnr3OnFjk
“The Husband of One Wife”
By Loren Seibold Whenever Adventist Today prints a piece on women’s ordination, there is bound to be someone—often two or three—who will comment with this quote, which they assume clinches the matter: “A bishop … must be… the husband of one wife” (1 Timothy 3:2). This verse comes near the beginning of a passage describing […] Source: https://atoday.org/the-husband-of-one-wife/
When You Know You Are Not Good Enough- A Prayer for Integrity Psalm 26 with Pastor Shawn Ellis
Many people who believe in Jesus are uncertain if they would go to heaven.
Pastor Shawn Ellis shows how Psalm 26 helps you gain the victory in this struggle. Integrity = wholeness = holiness
“True holiness is wholeness in the service of God. This is the condition of true Christian living. Christ asks for an unreserved consecration, for undivided service. He demands the heart, the mind, the soul, the strength. Self is not to be cherished. He who lives to himself is not a Christian” (Christ’s Object Lessons, pg. 48).
