Lesson 6.Through the Red Sea | 6.7 Questions | ๐ EXODUS | ๐ฑ LIVING FAITH

THE SECOND BOOK OF MOSES
Lesson 6: Through the Red Sea
6.7 Questions
Learning to Trust Between Deliverance and Breakthrough
Introduction
The people of Israel had just experienced the impossible: God Himself had led them out of slavery in Egypt with a mighty hand. They had witnessed the ten plagues, the blood on the doorposts that caused the angel of death to pass over them. They were freeโand yet soon they stood before the Red Sea, with Pharaoh and his army at their backs.
This scene repeats itself often in our lives: We have experienced Godโs intervention, and yet shortly afterward we find ourselves facing a wall of fear and uncertainty. The following questions help us understand why this happensโand how we can remain steadfast in such moments.
……………………………..ย ย
ย ย ……………………………..
Answers to the Questions
Question 1 โ Why do we so often find ourselves in the position of the Hebrews between deliverance and challengeโand still show a lack of faith?
People are forgetful, especially in crises. We tend to remember more what we see in the moment than what God has already done. The people of Israel had just witnessed Godโs powerโand yet they panicked when they heard the Egyptian chariots.
This behavior has several causes:
-
Emotional short-sightedness โ In moments of fear or stress, our hearts react to what is visible, not to memory. The present danger overshadows past experiences.
-
False expectations of God โ We often think that Godโs guidance means we will never be seriously tested again. But God sometimes deliberately leads us into situations that challenge our faith so it can grow.
-
Lack of spiritual exercise โ Faith is like a muscle: if we donโt train it in daily life, we lack strength when itโs needed most.
-
Self-focus instead of God-focus โ The more we look at our own abilities, the less we see Godโs possibilities.
Biblical example: Peter was able to walk on water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. When he looked at the waves, he began to sink (Matthew 14:30).
Final thought: Faith lives not only from memories but from the daily decision to place Godโs character above our circumstances.
Question 2 โ Why did Pharaoh still pursue Israelโand what does this teach us about the danger of being hardened by sin?
Pharaoh had not only lost his army but also his own son. Humanly speaking, that should have been enough to stop him. But his heart was hardened. This is the nature of sin: it can take such deep hold that even painful consequences do not lead to true repentance.
Three marks of hardened hearts:
-
Pride over reason โ Pharaoh didnโt want to lose his power. Even divine signs couldnโt break his will.
-
Being accustomed to wrongdoing โ Those who live in sin long enough begin to see it as normal.
-
Deception through false security โ Pharaoh thought he could still control God and His people.
Warning for us today:
-
Sin often begins subtlyโwith a small compromise.
-
Every decision against Godโs will dulls our conscience a little more.
-
Unconfessed sin blinds us to Godโs warnings.
Biblical parallel: King Saul lost his kingship not because of a single mistake, but because he repeatedly rejected Godโs word and hardened his heart (1 Samuel 15:23).
Final thought: A soft heart remains moldable in Godโs hands. A hardened heart, even in the face of catastrophe, no longer recognizes the opportunity for repentance.
Question 3 โ Why should we see good times as evidence of Godโs graceโand praise Him especially then?
In a fallen world, peace is no accident. If we wake up in the morning healthy, have a job, eat a meal, and our family is safe, that is not to be taken for granted. Each of these blessings is an expression of Godโs grace.
Three reasons to consciously notice good times:
-
Invisible protection โ We often donโt know what God has protected us from. Perhaps He has kept away illness, accidents, or attacks we never knew about.
-
Attitude of praise โ Those who thank God in abundance can also praise Him in lack. Gratitude is a spiritual safeguard against bitterness.
-
Witness to others โ When we speak openly of Godโs goodness in good times, we encourage others to seek Him in their crises.
Biblical example: David wrote many of his psalms not in danger, but in times of peace (e.g., Psalm 23). He knew that good times are just as much a gift from God as rescue from distress.
Final thought: Those who learn to praise God in the sunshine can trust Him in the storm.
……………………………..ย ย
ย ย ……………………………..
Spiritual Principles
-
Faith must be nourishedโthrough daily remembrance of Godโs faithfulness.
-
Sin blindsโand prevents us from recognizing Godโs actions.
-
Gratitude protectsโa grateful heart sees grace even in the everyday.
-
Trials are bridgesโthey connect Godโs past acts to His future help.
……………………………..ย ย
ย ย ……………………………..
Practical Life Application
-
Write down three specific things each week for which you can thank God.
-
Ask God to show you where pride or unconfessed sin may be hardening your heart.
-
Tell one person each week about a specific protection or blessing youโve experienced.
-
Train your faith by deliberately recalling past rescues when you face new challenges.
……………………………..ย ย
ย ย ……………………………..
Conclusion
Between deliverance and final resolution often lies a field where our faith is shaped. Itโs there we decide whether to rely on Godโs faithfulness or on our own perspective.

Thought of the Day
“God not only wants to change your circumstances, but first your heartโso you trust Him before the sea parts.”

Illustration โ Between Highway and Heaven
A true deliverance begins in the heart
Chapter 1 โ The Long Road
The October evening in Nebraska was cool and clear. The cornfields along both sides of Interstate 80 rustled gently in the wind. Daniel Reed, a 42-year-old trucker from Kansas, gripped the wheel of his gray pickup tightly. The past months had marked him: losing his job after 18 years, the death of his father, and a marriage that shattered like glass hitting the floor.
The GPS read 312 miles to Chicago. But for Daniel, the goal wasnโt the destinationโit was surviving the next hour.
โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ
Chapter 2 โ The Call
His phone buzzed on the dashboard. His wifeโs name lit up the screen. He hoped for a reconciliatory conversation, a sign that not everything was lost. Instead, he heard a flat voice:
โThe divorce papers are signed. I thought you should know.โ
No hesitation. No regret. Just finality.
He pulled over, turned off the engine, and stared into the setting sun. โLord,โ he whispered, โIโm free from my marriage, free from my job, free from everythingโand yet imprisoned. Where are You?โ
โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ
Chapter 3 โ Invisible Protection
Daniel didnโt know that just a few miles ahead, a major accident had blocked the highway. Sirens wailed in the distance. Had he kept driving, he might have been caught in the chaos. But all he saw was his defeatโnot the hand that protected him.
โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ
Chapter 4 โ The Stranger
An old, battered Ford pulled up beside him. Out stepped a man in jeans and a plaid shirt, about sixty, with a weathered face and warm eyes.
โTruck broken down?โ he asked.
โJustโฆ life,โ Daniel replied.
The man nodded knowingly. โYou know, I used to be a rancher in Wyoming. Lost it allโcattle, land, family. Thought God had forgotten me. But He stopped me. Sometimes He does that before we reach a place we wouldnโt come out of wholeโphysically or in the heart.โ
โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ
Chapter 5 โ Between Egypt and the Sea
The stranger sat on the truck bed and looked into the wide sky. โThe Israelites once stood between Egypt and the Red Sea. Water before them, enemies behind. They thought they were lost. But they were exactly where God wanted themโso they would learn that He not only opens doors but parts seas.โ
Danielโs eyes blurred. For the first time in months, he prayedโnot for a quick fix, but for a soft heart.
โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ โฆ
Chapter 6 โ Moving On
When he started the engine, the accident scene had been cleared. He drove onโnot with a lighter load, but with a lighter heart. He knew: Godโs presence on the journey is worth more than any shortcut to the destination.

Bible Text โ Leviticus 25 (KJV)
1 And theย Lordย spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2ย Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto theย Lord.
3ย Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4ย But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for theย Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
5ย That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
6ย And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.
7ย And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
8ย And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9ย Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
10ย And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
11ย A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
12ย For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
13ย In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
14ย And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:
15ย According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
16ย According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.
17ย Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am theย Lordย your God.
18ย Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19ย And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20ย And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21ย Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
22ย And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
23ย The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
24ย And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
25ย If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.
26ย And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
27ย Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
28ย But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
29ย And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.
30ย And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
31ย But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
32ย Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
33ย And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
34ย But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
35ย And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.
36ย Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.
37ย Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.
38ย I am theย Lordย your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
39ย And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:
40ย But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubile.
41ย And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
42ย For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
43ย Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
44ย Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
45ย Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
46ย And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
47ย And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:
48ย After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:
49ย Either his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.
50ย And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.
51ย If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
52ย And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubile, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.
53ย And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.
54ย And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.
55ย For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am theย Lordย your God.

Introduction
Leviticus 25 introduces us to a divine social order deeply rooted in Godโs character โ an order of justice, mercy, rhythm, and trust. The Sabbath year and the Jubilee year are more than agricultural or economic concepts โ they express Godโs desire for a holy, just, and free people.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Commentary
1. The Sabbath Year (verses 1โ7):
Every seventh year the land is to rest โ no sowing, no harvesting. This is not only an environmentally friendly practice but also a spiritual act of trust: God provides! Even animals and foreigners are to share in it โ the command is inclusive and socially minded.
2. The Year of Jubilee โ the 50th Year (verses 8โ17):
After seven Sabbath years (49 years) comes the great โyear of release.โ It is a year of new beginnings:
-
Property returns to the original families.
-
Debts are cancelled.
-
People who sold themselves into service due to poverty are set free.
Through the Jubilee year, God restores social justice โ not through class struggle, but through grace.
3. Godโs Ownership and Our Status (verses 23โ34):
The land does not belong to Israel โ it belongs to God. Israel is a guest. This perspective guards against greed, abuse of power, and exclusion. Even the Levites, who had no land allotment, are given protective rights.
4. Protection for the Poor and the Indebted (verses 35โ55):
God commands:
-
No interest is to be taken from fellow Israelites.
-
No exploitation of those in need.
-
Israelites purchased as servants must not be treated like slaves.
Godโs justice is merciful and humane โ the Jubilee year brings hope for return, restoration, and new opportunities.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Summary
Leviticus 25 is a chapter about divine economics: it places human dignity above property, protects the poor, and calls for trust in Godโs provision. The rhythms of the Sabbath and the Jubilee teach us that God has destined us not for exploitation but for freedom.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Message for Us Today
In a world of constant performance pressure and social inequality, God calls us to rest, to share, and to restore. What if we lived more in the rhythm of Sabbath? If debts were forgiven and possessions not idolized? God reminds us: We are stewards โ not owners.

Reflection Questions
“The land is mine, and you are foreigners and strangers before me.” (Leviticus 25:23)
-
What would change in your daily life if you viewed possessions only as something on loan?
-
Are you living in a rhythm of work and rest โ or are you driven by the pressure of constant productivity?
-
Do you know someone who needs a fresh start like in the Jubilee year? Are you willing to help?

Joseph and His Brothers
Read online here
Introduction
The life story of Joseph is a powerful testimony of how God uses human evil to bring about good. Betrayed, sold, slandered, and forgottenโyet exalted, used, and blessed. In his reunion with his brothers, forgiveness, character growth, and divine providence reach a moving climax in biblical history.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Commentary
1. Foresight and Responsibility (Genesis 41)
Joseph uses his God-given gift of dream interpretation to prepare Egypt for a coming famine. Despite his rise to power, he remains humble: โGod will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.โ
2. Famine Strikes Canaan (Genesis 42)
The brothers travel to Egypt, unaware they are standing before Joseph. He recognizes themโthey do not recognize him. Joseph tests them, not for revenge, but to reveal the change in their hearts.
God uses trials to uncover what lies deep within us.
3. Repentance, Responsibility, and Change (Genesis 43โ44)
The once hard-hearted brothers show depth of character: Judah offers himself in place of Benjamin. One of the most moving moments in Scriptureโproof of genuine transformation.
4. Reconciliation and God’s Plan (Genesis 45)
Joseph reveals his identity: โI am Joseph!โ He sees God’s hand in all that has happened. No bitternessโonly healing.
Forgiveness is not weakness; it is the greatest evidence of divine love.
5. Jacob Moves to Egypt (Genesis 46โ47)
God Himself confirms Jacobโs journey. In Goshen, the people of Israel are preserved, set apart, and provided forโa place of preparation.
6. Blessings and Prophetic Words (Genesis 48โ49)
Jacob blesses his sonsโprophetically, wisely, justly. Judah receives the messianic promise, Joseph the double portion.
7. The Death of Joseph โ and a Look Ahead (Genesis 50)
Joseph dies, but his hope lives on: โGod will surely visit you.โ
He knows Egypt is not the homeland. The exodus will come.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Summary
Josephโs story is a bridge from Canaan to Egyptโand ultimately a picture of redemption.
It shows how God brings His plan to fulfillment, even through human failure.
It is full of transformation, reconciliation, and trust in divine providence.

Message for Us Today
God is sovereign, even when people act unjustly.
Reconciliation heals generational wounds. Joseph could have sought revenge but chose forgiveness.
Your story does not end in pain. God continues to writeโwith hope, comfort, and a greater perspective.
True greatness is revealed in humility. Joseph remained a servantโeven as a ruler.
Trials reveal your character. The brothers passed the test. What trials are shaping you today?
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Reflection Question
-
Have you ever experienced injustice that God later turned into something good?
-
Is there someone you need to forgiveโnot because they deserve it, but because God is calling you to freedom?
-
Do you live with the awareness that you are a โstrangerโ in this world, on a journey toward your true home?
-
What role does God’s providence play in how you view suffering, success, and the way you live your life?
Talk to God:
โLord, I donโt always understand Your wayโbut I trust Your plan.โ

Devotions from the life of a dreamer with character
15.Finding Favor in the Eyes of the Lord
When everything is silent โ yet something happens
Introduction
There are moments when we have nothing left in our hands โ no control, no solution, no explanation. And right there, grace begins.
Grace is not what we deserve. It is what God gives. Undeserved, unexpected, life-changing.
Joseph stood penniless in Egypt. A young man, sold, forgotten, a stranger. And yet it says: โThe LORD was with Joseph, and he found favor.โ
Not through strategy. Not through strength. But through Godโs presence.
Grace is Godโs answer to our helplessness.
And sometimes itโs enough just to be there โ and let God work.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Devotional
โBut the LORD was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.โ
Genesis 39:21
What is left to a person who has lost everything?
His home. His family. His freedom. His good name.
Joseph had nothing left in his hands โ and yet he did not have nothing.
He had Godโs presence. And with that: grace.
In Egypt, Joseph was just a slave. In prison โ just a prisoner. Without rights, without a voice, without influence.
And yet something began to move. Not because Joseph protested or defended himself โ but because God acted. Quietly. Deeply. Personally.
โThe LORD was with Joseph.โ
That is more than a theological statement. It is a key.
Godโs presence was not just a comfort โ it was the source of Josephโs character, his attitude, his hope.
Because God was with him, he did not harden, but kept serving.
Because God was with him, he did not despair, but remained open to the good.
Because God was with him, he did not close himself off, but became a blessing โ even in prison.
God gave him favor โ not first before Pharaoh, but first with a prison warden.
This shows: grace often begins in secret, long before it becomes visible.
Joseph was not freed immediately โ but he was seen.
He did not receive a crown โ but he received trust.
He was not on the stage โ but he stood in Godโs light.
And that is enough.
Grace does not mean everything changes.
Grace means that God is with you, even when nothing changes โ and that this very fact changes your heart.
Joseph did not seek favor โ he lived faithfully.
And God let people see his faithfulness.
Grace is Godโs way of making you visible to others after you have matured in secret.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Grace Is More Than a Kind Feeling
Grace is Godโs active intervention in our lives:
-
Undeserved, but real.
-
Unseen, but powerful.
-
Unplanned, but always on time.
The Bible is full of people who found grace:
-
Noah, in the midst of chaos (Genesis 6:8)
-
Ruth, as a foreigner in Bethlehem (Ruth 2:10)
-
Mary, a young woman without influence (Luke 1:30)
They all had nothing โ except an open heart.
And that was enough.

Grace Does Not First Change Our Circumstances
It changes us.
Joseph remained faithful, even though he had no guarantee.
He worked, served, lived โ and God opened hearts toward him.
Not through manipulation, but through grace.
Not through power, but through presence.
Not through pressure, but through trust.

Reflection โ What Does This Mean for You?
-
Godโs grace is not a reward for performance, but an expression of His love.
-
Even in lifeโs prisons, you can find grace.
-
People may overlook you โ but God sees you with favor.

โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
What We Can Learn from Joseph
-
Grace is a gift โ not an achievement.
-
God can direct hearts โ even those of superiors, judges, or โprison wardens.โ
-
Faithfulness in small things makes room for favor in big things.
-
A humble heart finds grace โ even if the world does not recognize it.

Practical Questions for Reflection
-
Where in your life do you need grace today โ instead of justice?
-
Are there people to whom you could show grace โ instead of judgment?
-
Can you recall a moment when you experienced grace โ though you didnโt deserve it?
-
How can you live today as someone who is under grace?

Story โ โThe Job Application That Came Too Lateโ
Chapter 1 โ The Dream
Lea was 26 and full of dreams. After years of studying, side jobs, and unpaid internships, she finally had a big opportunity: a job interview at a foundation dedicated to social justice โ exactly her heartโs calling.
She had been praying for weeks. She had revised her portfolio ten times, practiced her interview answers, gathered references. It felt like: โIf anything is meant to be โ this is it.โ
Two days before the appointment, her father suddenly fell seriously ill. Emergency room, hospital, fear. Lea stayed by his side. Day and night. She lost track of time and place.

Chapter 2 โ The Missed Chance
When she returned to her apartment two days later, she saw the note on her calendar: โ10:30 a.m. โ Job interview.โ
It was 2:00 p.m.
Lea stared at the clock. Then she collapsed. Tears. Anger. Disappointment.
โLord, why now? I asked you to guide meโฆ I was ready. I did everything I could!โ
That same evening, she wrote an honest email to the foundation:
โI know I missed the appointment. Iโm sorry. My father was unexpectedly hospitalized. I was completely overwhelmed. I understand if my chance is gone. I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity.โ
She expected no reply. And no second chance.

Chapter 3 โ The Surprise
Three days later, the reply came. Short. Clear.
โThank you for your honesty. We would still like to meet you. Tomorrow, 9 a.m. โ if you can.โ
Lea couldnโt believe it. She read the email five times. Then she knelt down.
Not because she had been so good. But because someone had shown grace.

Chapter 4 โ The Interview
The next morning, she sat in the meeting room โ nervous, but calm. The woman conducting the interview looked at her kindly.
โYou know,โ she said after a few minutes, โwe get a lot of applications. Good rรฉsumรฉs. Perfect paperwork. But what really matters to us is character โ and how people handle difficult moments.โ
Lea answered softly:
โI had no control. I just tried to be there for my father. And to be honest.โ
The woman nodded.
โThatโs why youโre here. Honesty and dedication are sometimes more valuable than professionalism. Weโre not looking for perfect people โ weโre looking for people with heart.โ

Chapter 5 โ The Grace
A week later, Lea got the job. She had not earned it.
Not through performance.
Not through timing.
Not through perfection.
But because someone had looked beyond the surface โ and chose to extend grace.
Later, she wrote in her journal:
โIโve learned: Sometimes God opens doors even when I arrive late.
Not because I was good enough โ but because He sees me.
And because His grace is bigger than my mistakes.โ

Lessons from the Story
-
Grace means being seen even when you think youโve messed it up.
-
Sometimes God gives you not the fruit of your performance, but the fruit of His favor.
-
People who have experienced grace can give it more easily.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Application
-
Live today as if you are under grace โ not under pressure.
-
Look with gracious eyes at people who are otherwise overlooked.
-
Pray that God will grant you grace โ and make you a channel of His grace.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Prayer
Lord,
thank You that I find grace with You.
Not because I have done enough โ
but because You have done enough for me.
Open my heart to Your presence.
Open my eyes to Your favor.
Teach me to receive grace โ
and to pass it on.
Amen.

โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Key Thought of the Day
Grace is not what I earn โ
Grace is what God gives me.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Blessing to Close
The God who gave Joseph grace
be with you โ in your waiting, in your struggle, in your weakness.
May He grant you favor โ with people and with Himself.
And may He remind you today:
You are not forgotten.
You are seen.
You live under grace.
