If I Call, God Will Answer
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. Psalm 91:15.
We all desire immediate and direct answers to our prayers, and are tempted to become discouraged when the answer is delayed or comes in an unlooked-for form. But God is too wise and good to answer our prayers always at just the time and in just the manner we desire. He will do more and better for us than to accomplish all our wishes. And because we can trust His wisdom and love, we should not ask Him to concede to our will, but should seek to enter into and accomplish His purpose. Our desires and interests should be lost in His will. These experiences that test faith are for our benefit. By them it is made manifest whether our faith is true and sincere, resting on the Word of God alone, or whether depending on circumstances, it is uncertain and changeable. Faith is strengthened by exercise. We must let patience have its perfect work, remembering that there are precious promises in the Scriptures for those who wait upon the Lord.—The Ministry of Healing, 230.
God is too wise to err, and too good to withhold any good thing from His saints that walk uprightly. Man is erring, and although his petitions are sent up from an honest heart, he does not always ask for the things that are good for himself, or that will glorify God. When this is so, our wise and good Father hears our prayers, and will answer, sometimes immediately; but He gives us the things that are for our best good and His own glory. God gives us blessings; if we could look into His plan, we would clearly see that He knows what is best for us, and that our prayers are answered.—Testimonies for the Church 1:120.

Dear Friends,
From the time he was eight, until about the time he went off to college, Ronnie Jay had either gerbils or hamsters as pets. He took good care of them and they seemed to be happy. One female hamster, however, he could never quite tame. She was always a wild thing. Ronnie Jay avoided holding her. She had sharp teeth and knew how to use them.
One day, she managed to escape. After several days of searching, we gave up ever finding her. Then one night, I heard her chewing up my bed. The next day, I caught her and put her back in her cage. Although she had found the food I had put on the floor for her and made a nice stash for future use, the poor thing was so very thirsty. She drank and drank and drank.
From then on, that hamster let me hold her. I could pick her up without her baring her teeth at me. I could cuddle her to my chest and she wouldn’t even try to run away. It was as if she was grateful that I had caught her. It seemed that she thought of me as the friend who rescued her from dying of thirst.
We, too, have a Rescuer Who has rescued us from dying of spiritual thirst. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16, 17 Are we as grateful to Him as that hamster was to me? Do we love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength? Does He have first place in our heart?
Think of it! “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” Heb 5:8, 9 “We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 And if we love Him, we will love to read His Word, pray to Him, and desire to please Him in all things. “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” 3:18-22
May we heed the words of Christ, “If ye love me, keep my commandments. . . . He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. . . . If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.” John 14:15-24 May we lift up our voice in praise to our Rescuer as did David when he sang, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” Psalm 100

Hope [The Wonderful Hope that Jesus Brings – Pastor Wilson]
In this video, Pastor Ted Wilson focuses on the wonderful hope that we have in Jesus. We read in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18— "But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." What a comfort these words are! As we think of our loved ones who have gone to sleep in Jesus, we can have such hope and peace because we know that one day soon we will be reunited and will never have to say goodbye again! What a wonderful, glorious promise this is! In the meantime, however, we can be at peace, knowing that for this present time, our loved ones are just asleep. No longer are they suffering, no longer are they worried, no longer do they have any struggles. In 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, Paul sets out very clearly how one day, those who die in Christ, as well as those who are living in Him when Jesus comes, will receive the gift of immortality. We read: "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed–in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: 'Death is swallowed up in victory.' 'O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?'" Let us never give up hope. For we have the sure word of God that is filled with these very precious promises! What a wonderful thought that our dear ones—young and old—who have died in Jesus, will one day very soon be given a new, immortal life and we will be forever with them and the Lord. May these words give us all hope and courage as we wait for that great resurrection day. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enRmaT7bElQ
