È chiaro che negli ultimi giorni prima del ritorno di Gesù, l’osservanza dei comandamenti è molto importante. Giovanni, in Apocalisse capitolo 12, versetto diciassette descrive delle persone “che osservano i comandamenti di Dio… e custodiscono la testimonianza di Gesù”. Negli ultimi giorni queste persone diventeranno oggetto dell’ira di Satana… E nel capitolo quattordici versetti da sei a undici… Giovanni descrive l’ultimo messaggio di avvertimento di Dio… prima che venga Gesù, simbolizzato dai messaggi dei tre angeli. Key Thought: The foundation of any mission must be centered on a relationship with the Creator. Before we understand the mission of God, it is essential to better understand the God of mission.

1. Have a volunteer read Genesis 3:9-15.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this
passage. - What were God’s first words to Adam after he and Eve fell, and why is that statement theologically significant today?
- Personal Application: God asks, Where are you? In you experience, what does it mean to you, and how have you answered Him? Share your thoughts..
- Case Study: One of your relatives states, “I don’t think God is looking for me. I don’t think God looks for anyone. I believe that people who look for God might find Him in their own way..” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read John 1:14-18.
- Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
- What can we learn from Christ’s incarnation about God’s mission to us?
- Personal Application: What does God’s love for us mean in that He would come to us in our own humanity? How can we respond to this love in terms of mission to others? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your friends states, “We have so many challenges in reaching the world with evangelism. We don’t have the ability or resources to reach everyone, ands many people don’t come or listen. I feel like we are inadequate to meet the task.” How would you respond to your friend?
3. Have a volunteer read Matthew 28:18-20.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point in this text is.
- What is the promise we can find in the great commission?
- Personal Application: How does Christ’s promise bring assurance for us as we get involved with Christ’s mission? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your neighbors states: “I have tried to share Jesus with others, but I haven’t seen or felt Jesus’ promise to be with me always as I have engaged in mission.” How would you respond to your relative?
4. Have a volunteer read John 14:1-3.

- In what ways is this passage connected with the end-time message found in Scripture
- Personal Application: Learn the name of someone in your life and begin praying for him or her each day. Share your thoughts.

Lesson 1 God’s Mission to Us: Part 1 – 1.5 The God Who Will Come Back for Us
“The God who returns to us” illustrates the connection between Jesus’ promise in John 14:1–3 and the end-time message of the Bible. In these verses, Jesus tells His disciples that He will come back to take them to Himself so that they can be with Him. This promise is of great significance as it points to the return of Jesus in the end times when He will gather His followers to Himself.
The Book of Revelation confirms this promise by showing that God’s desire to be with humanity will be fulfilled in the new earth. There, God will dwell with people, and they will be His people, and He Himself, God with them, will be their God (Revelation 21:3). This marks the culmination of the divine mission aimed at restoring and maintaining the communion between God and His creation for eternity.
Redemption and God’s work will be complete in this context. The redeemed will live in the presence of God and enjoy His boundless grace and presence. This will be a sublime privilege and the fulfillment of God’s mission.
The weekly challenges encourage us to consciously engage with God’s mission, open our hearts to His work, and become more involved in His mission. The challenge to pray daily for the mission and the people around us is a practical way to actively participate in God’s work and carry the love and mission of Jesus into the world.
The “Challenge Plus,” which encourages us to learn the names and situations of people in our surroundings and pray for them, demonstrates how, as Christians, we can contribute to continuing God’s mission of love and salvation. It reminds us that mission is not only happening in distant lands but also in our immediate vicinity as we carry people in our prayers and hearts.
