A few years ago, when my mother was still alive, she said to me, “I remember when you were studying theology at Union College, you were so excited about prophecy that you told me, ‘Mom, the Lord is coming soon, and so many things will happen before He does! I want to be right in the middle of it all!’” I didn’t remember that conversation then, but I didn’t doubt it, because it’s how I’ve always felt. I often tell my wife, Kathy, “What a time to be alive!” We are seeing prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes as thousands of people all around the world are listening to God’s end-time message and responding to His call in numbers never seen before. You may have heard it said that evangelism doesn’t work. And that’s true, but only when you don’t do it. Not only does it work, but it’s what God has called us to do—to take the gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue and people—and He will take care of the rest! The truth is, if you want to be in the center of God’s action, then get involved in soul-winning. If you want to be on the front lines with Jesus, be involved in evangelism.
