An Adventist doctor from Sydney is at the forefront of a revolutionary treatment that could potentially cure cancer.
In an interview with Australian current affairs program 60 Minutes, Dr. Ken Micklethwaite from the Westmead Institute said he and his team have been working with modified immune cells, called CAR T cells, which could help cure blood cancer. The Washington Adventist University (WAU) Enactus Team received a 3rd place award in the Opening Round of the 2019 Enactus National Exposition held in Kansas City, Missouri held May 5-7, 2019.  The competition featured 86 universities who for three days presented their entrepreneurial-based projects aimed at empowering their communities.

The Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU) signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement with the Special Project for the Preparation and Development of the 2019 XVIII Pan American Games and Sixth Parapan American Games on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is implementing a project to increase the availability of educational social services for children with disabilities in Georgia.
