The complete change in Paul following his experience on the road to Damascus proves God’s transforming power. His faith journey started when he volunteered to persecute and kill the followers of Jesus who had escaped from Jerusalem. The encounter with Jesus by the road to Damascus changed everything about him– his name, life, and faith. The Saul, who was willing to kill and persecute the Christians, became Paul, the champion preacher and minister for Christ. As we go through life, we will encounter an experience with God like Paul’s on the road to Damascus. He will make Himself known to us and call us to ministry. Our transformation comes after we fully recognize and understand who Christ is. When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, He will change us into His likeness. Our past will not matter. With our new and transformed life, God will use us to minister others and share Jesus—our Savior and Redeemer– with them. Watch the video to learn more about Paul's Damascus road experience and the transformation in His life. His journey will help us understand how God can give us freedom, healing, and hope. Hospitals in Nepal Join ADRA in Rolling Out COVID-19 Vaccine Campaigns; and other world news
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Nepal has been collaborating with hospitals dedicated to combating COVID-19, as well as rolling out vaccine campaigns in four districts. ADRA staff and volunteers were able to assist many people in this way as they began conducting awareness activities. Nepal is one of the first countries in the southern region of Asia to start a mass COVID-19 vaccination drive. ADRA continues to help our brothers and sisters from Nepal to address their medical needs. ADRA France was selected among 260 candidates and received a special mention in the 2021 edition of the Human Rights Prize of the French Republic. According to the French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights, ADRA France was awarded a special mention for the Chalantika Project, which aims to enable children living in the Chalantika slum in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to return to school. A Kiribati government minister was among more than 300 people gathered to commemorate Hope Radio’s third anniversary in December 2021. Over the past three years, Hope Radio has become not only an informer, educator, and entertainer; but a powerful evangelistic platform that has changed lives—seen through the baptism of a considerable number of new families into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. According to Kiribati Mission president Taabua Rokeatau, Hope Radio has made a significant contribution to the Kiribati government, especially in fighting COVID-19. Hope Radio has also assisted the Ministry of Health by airing radio spots promoting handwashing and cleaning. Hope Channel reached a new milestone because Heroes: The Bible Trivia Game exceeded 100,000 downloads globally. Officially released as “Heroes 2” on March 26, 2021, the new game has since changed its name to “Heroes." Heroes' initiative is to encourage users to engage with scripture in a deeper way through Bible studies. Heroes Game co-creator Sam Neves says that there are more versions coming and new updates continually being released. Dead Sea is like how our lives would be without Jesus. #shorts
What would life be like without Jesus? Life without Jesus seems to be a nightmare. It may be like the Dead Sea, which collects water but provides nothing in return. No life can grow there, nothing can live in its salty waters. This is a life without Jesus – a life without meaning and direction. As Christians, we must aspire to live a Christlike life – a meaningful and rewarding existence. Jesus came so that we can have life and have it more abundantly. To live with Jesus is to live for others so they, too, might live a Christlike life. #shorts #LifeWithoutJesus #TheDeadSea #StagnantLifeWithoutChrist Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeeH2RF2eO8
Almond Symbolizes That God Is Everywhere, And He Keeps An Eye On Us. #shorts
God is everywhere. In the Bible, almonds symbolize God’s watchfulness and presence in our lives. He is mindful of everything that happens in our lives. God loves us in such a way that no matter where we are, He is with us. Because God is everywhere, there is nothing hidden from Him. The Hebrew word for almond “shakeid” means “watchful” and is used to represent God’s watchfulness over His people. The almond tree is mentioned several times in the Bible and is one of Judaism's most important symbols: the menorah. It is a wonderful assurance that God is everywhere. There is nowhere we can go that He cannot go too. God is always ready to protect, guide, and care for us. He is a wonderful and loving Savior to those who accept His gift of salvation. #shorts #GodisEverywhere #NothingIsHiddenFromHim #GodLovesUs Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7bi4gny7lc
Holy Scriptures [Diving Deep Into the First Fundamental Belief] – Pastor Ted Wilson
John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." It’s a beautiful description of Jesus, the Son of God and the Son of man—a perfect blending of the human and divine. Jesus has given us His words of life through the Holy Scriptures, the "living, powerful Word of God," as Hebrews 4:12 says. He also affirmed that "these are they which testify of Me" (John 5:39). We find Jesus’ footprints throughout the Bible. We see him through the Old Testament history, law, wisdom, poetry, and prophecy. He is also present in the New Testament Gospels, early church history, letters by Paul, and prophecy through the "revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place" (Revelation 1:1). The Bible is God’s message given to humanity in their language through men inspired and "moved by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:21). So, the Scriptures are like Christ in that they are a combination of the human and divine. The Scriptures are the foundation upon which we base all our beliefs as Seventh-day Adventists. This is why our first fundamental belief pertains to the Holy Scriptures. It reads, "The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration. The inspired authors spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to humanity the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the supreme, authoritative, and infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the definitive revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God’s acts in history" (Seventh-day Adventist Fundamental Belief 1, "The Holy Scriptures," adventist.org/beliefs). Many texts affirm the beauty and power of the Scriptures. For instance, verses 5 and 6 of Proverbs 30 say, "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Also, Isaiah 8:20 testifies, "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Still, in John 17:17, Jesus affirmed the importance of the Scriptures when He prayed for His disciples, asking the Father to "sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth." In Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he said, "For this reason, we also thank God without ceasing because when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe" (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Indeed, the Bible is truly God’s Word to us, revealing His truth and drawing us closer to Him as we follow His divine counsel. But to hear Him speaking, we must approach the book by believing that they are the supreme, authoritative, and infallible revelation of His will. The Great Controversy, page 598, warns us: "The truths most plainly revealed in the Bible have been involved in doubt and darkness by learned men, who, with a pretense of great wisdom, teach that the Scriptures have a mystical, a secret, spiritual meaning not apparent in the language employed. These men are false teachers. It was to such a class that Jesus declared: "Ye know not the Scriptures, neither the power of God." (Mark 12:24). The language of the Bible should be explained according to its obvious meaning unless a symbol or figure is employed. Christ has given the promise: 'If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine.' John 7:17. If men would but take the Bible as it reads, if there were no false teachers to mislead and confuse their minds, a work would be accomplished that would make angels glad, and that would bring into the fold of Christ thousands upon thousands who are now wandering in error." The Bible is indeed "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path" (Psalm 119:105), but we must first take off the blinds of our own presuppositions to see the light clearly.
