Genesis 2:3 – Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
9.0 Introduction
God created the seventh day to be special. Why so?
9.1 Prelude to Rest
The highlight of creation is Adam and Eve.
9.2 The Command to Rest
God rested on the seventh day. You may get this blessing, too.
9.3 New Circumstances
The Sabbath was celebrated even before the proclamation of the 10 commandments on Mount Sinai.
9.4 Another Reason to Rest
Two reasons for keeping the Sabbath are proclaimed by God. It is worthwile reading them.
9.5 Keeping the Sabbath
We celebrate creation and redemption by keeping the Sabbath holy.
9.6 Summary
Every seventh day is a holiday. A wonderful present of time.
