Their marriage didn’t stand a chance. She hated her husband and they fought constantly. Their home had become a battleground—a place of deep unhappiness, especially for their children. To make matters worse, her husband had adopted a strange new religion, which she came to loathe as much as she loathed him. One day, in a fit of rage, she yelled the unthinkable, and meant it: “I wish you were dead!” That’s when she saw her youngest child standing quietly in the background, a look of total desolation on his innocent face. In that moment, she realized the one she really loathed was herself. Could their marriage be saved or was it too late? Missionaries in DANGER from Taal Volcano | AWR360°
Below is a short video report on the situation facing our Center for Digital Evangelism in the Philippines. It is located just 20 miles from the Taal volcano that erupted earlier this week. You have probably seen the devastation in the news reports as the eruptions continue, but thankfully, the air quality has improved in the area where the center is located, and our young people are being allowed to return to work. I wish I could tell you this is the only upheaval in the world, but we know that “the whole creation has been groaning” under the weight of sin. However, in the midst of the hopelessness and despair that we see all around us, we have an opportunity to bring hope as we share the good news that one day soon, “Creation itself will be set free from its bondage of decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.” (Romans 8:21, 22) What a glorious day that will be! —Duane McKey, President MB01MGRWHWPJ5TG Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAg0DiRQ42c
The Singing Girl | AWR360°
Remi was lonely. Unlike most Maasai women in Tanzania, she’d had the privilege of a formal education, and now the government had sent her to a different town to teach. Far away from family and friends, she turned to the radio for companionship—and learned there was only one station—Adventist World Radio! Remi enjoyed the programs, but one day she heard a choir sing, and it was the most beautiful music she’d ever heard. But as hard as she tried, Remi never learned the name of the choir. Then she transferred to another city hundreds of miles away. More alone than ever, she accepted the help of a stranger. To her surprise, he played a recording of her favorite choir. When she asked him about it, he said the choir was in that very city—and he sang in the choir! Watch the video below to learn what happened next. A Faithful Steward | AWR360°

“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!” (Matthew 25:23) I’ve always loved this text, and I hope that one day, Jesus can say those words to me. But there is one thing the verse doesn’t say: “Well done, good and successful servant!” Because God doesn’t demand that we be successful. He only demands that we be faithful. Success is up to Him. Below is a short video we recently filmed with Dr. Robert Lang and his wife, Wretha. Dr. Lang graciously offered to share his testimony of his experience with Adventist World Radio. Sadly, he unexpectedly passed away a few weeks ago, but what better way to honor his memory than by sharing the video of this faithful steward? One day soon, Dr. Lang will hear Jesus say, “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” What a day that will be! May that be our experience as well. —Duane McKey, President MB012QSUNQWGOPR Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qhcTgTjsOM
Volunteer and Make a Difference | AWR360°

Recently I shared with you the incredible plans for Papua New Guinea this coming year. Our brethren in PNG are on fire for God, and their spirit is contagious! This coming May, more than 2,000 evangelistic meetings will be held simultaneously throughout the country, and more than 500,000 baptisms are expected! But before this event begins, we will first hold a 4-day health fair from March 23-26. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend and receive medical care. That’s a lot of people! Volunteers are needed to help out, and we’re inviting all healthcare professionals willing to donate their time and expertise to please register and join us for this event! You can do so at AWR.org/health. The need in PNG is huge, but so is the opportunity to make a real difference. Please take a moment to watch Dr. Lela’s personal invitation below, and if you feel impressed to help out, please do so! I know you’ll be blessed! —Duane McKey, President Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWonBPjTcxg
