A few team members from Adventist World Radio have just returned from Nazareth, Israel. In this video, Kyle Allen of AWR360° gives you a firsthand look at the AWR360° Life Hope Center. In the place where Christ once walked, many people still need to hear about Him. Meeting people where they are, the AWR360° Life Hope Center in Nazareth will bring hope and healing through medical presentations, English classes and Bible seminars. An on-site radio station will also broadcast to the four surrounding nations in their native Arabic tongue. This is the first Arabic-speaking Seventh-day Adventist church in the history of Israel! It's a huge milestone for the completion of God's work in this region. Israel is defined in the Bible in detail in the book of Ezekiel as a land where both the 12 tribes and the "strangers in (their) midst" can claim inheritance. May many souls claim their inheritance in heaven because of the work being done by the AWR360° Life Hope Center. At this point, 500 million Arabs could potentially be reached through the broadcasting of the on-site radio station! The Gospel just changed the face of a country and made history as 50 years of fighting ended in Mindoro, Philippines. After listening to Adventist World Radio’s broadcasts and taking the Gospel to heart, rebel fighters and assassins laid down their guns and made decisions for baptism. In November, they received amnesty and embraced members of the military they’d previously hunted. The greatest battle they ever fought was a spiritual one—the battle for their hearts. And the spectacular victory that followed was a triumph of God’s love overcoming hatred and hostility. Below is a short video where I interview the former leader of the rebel forces and his wife, alongside the military secret service agent who pursued them relentlessly. But that’s all in the past, because now they’re fully reconciled, recently baptized—and no longer enemies but friends! And they’re actively training to become evangelists! There are prayers that God always delights in answering. One is the prayer for the salvation of others. Exactly 30 years ago, I was pastoring a church in the small town of Pendleton, Oregon—population 14,000. It was the year the Harris Pine factory shut down—and with it, most of the town. It’s also the year we prayed, “Give us 92 souls for ’92.” Impossible for such a small community—but we baptized 93! In 2016, we held evangelistic meetings throughout Rwanda, and the church prayed, “Give us 100,000 souls!” Again, an impossible prayer, but by the time the meetings were over, more than 100,000 had been baptized! But this last one tops them all: Remember the amazing story of the 700 communist rebels baptized last month on the island of Mindoro, Philippines? They prayed that “each one win one” and pledged 700 new souls for 2022—and you’ll never guess what we just learned: they have already met their goal!
