Hurricane Beryl, a catastrophic event, swept through the Caribbean and Mexico from 1 to 5 July, causing extensive damage and leaving thousands homeless. On 1 July, Hurricane Beryl landed on the island of Carriacou (Grenada) with sustained winds of 222 km/h (138mph). This is the strongest hurricane to be recorded in June, during the initial phase of the Atlantic hurricane season.

Friday, 12 July, saw the launch of the newly established Faith and Health Network Board (FHNB), bringing together multiple faith groups and health professionals.
