Adventists Perform on Easter Sunday Songs of Praise
Ken Burton, and a number of Adventist singers, were heavily featured in BBC1’s Songs of Praise in two Easter programmes filmed in Jerusalem, specially commissioned by the BBC as part of the BBC ‘Year of Belief’ season.

A Mother’s Love
A special programme dedicated to mothers took place at the Hackney Seventh-day Adventist church on Sabbath 6 April in recognition of mothers’ day.
Sabbath School Superintendent, Maria Vinas, said, “A mother’s love is nurturing and enables her children to grow. A mother’s love is faithful ‒ she endures hardships and develops patience as she cares for her child. A mother’s love is protective just as God protects His children. God covers us with His feathers as a hen does her chicks.”

ADRA-UK Launches its 2019 Appeal
ADRA-UK launched its 2019 Appeal on Saturday 30 March for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The appeal will run from until Sunday 14 April for most of the United Kingdom but is extended until Sunday 21 April for those who live in Greater London. Collections in Scotland vary by council. BUC Retirees Holiday
Monday 4 March dawned bright and clear, as 14 British Union Conference retirees, spouses and friends, flocked to Luton Airport for their annual migration to sunnier climes. Waiting in the departure lounge it was wonderful to meet and greet old friends from many different parts of the country. They came from Crieff in Scotland, Bristol, Grantham, Watford and Norwich. We were saddened that one of the number, Lyn Dyason was not with us, having passed away a short time before.
