Further to the announcement regarding Dr John Baildam’s passing, we can confirm that his Memorial Service will be held at the Newbold Church at 14:00 on Monday, 11 September.

Dr Baildam was a former principal of Newbold College and a member of the British Union Conference Executive Committee for many years. He died after a short and unexpected illness. With great sadness, we inform you of the passing of the former Newbold College of Higher Education Principal, Dr John D Baildam, on Tuesday, 22 August 2023. He was 73 years old.
Appointed as Principal in May 2014, Dr Baildam served as Principal for eight years but had served the College for over 40 years in several teaching, leadership and administrative roles, including Director of the School of English, Director of Academic Affairs and Deputy Principal.
