Dear Friends
Imagine that you had to leave your home with nothing more than the clothes on your back and a small walk-on suitcase. Imagine that you are a woman with two small children. You are fleeing your country not knowing whether you will ever return home or see your spouse again. You are now classed as an internally displaced person or a refugee. In just a few weeks, your life and the lives of your children will never be the same again. And imagine, you are disabled, or extremely…Source: https://adventist.uk/news/article/go/2022-03-10/1083/
A Firsthand Look at the AWR360° Life Hope Center
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYBYeP7rwXI
A few team members from Adventist World Radio have just returned from Nazareth, Israel. In this video, Kyle Allen of AWR360° gives you a firsthand look at the AWR360° Life Hope Center. In the place where Christ once walked, many people still need to hear about Him. Meeting people where they are, the AWR360° Life Hope Center in Nazareth will bring hope and healing through medical presentations, English classes and Bible seminars. An on-site radio station will also broadcast to the four surrounding nations in their native Arabic tongue. This is the first Arabic-speaking Seventh-day Adventist church in the history of Israel! It's a huge milestone for the completion of God's work in this region. Israel is defined in the Bible in detail in the book of Ezekiel as a land where both the 12 tribes and the "strangers in (their) midst" can claim inheritance. May many souls claim their inheritance in heaven because of the work being done by the AWR360° Life Hope Center. At this point, 500 million Arabs could potentially be reached through the broadcasting of the on-site radio station! Your continued prayers for all of AWR's projects are much appreciated and are what will make this project a reality. If you would like to donate to this project, you may do so here: https://awr.org/22G08. Your donation will bring healing and hope to this critical region. A worship experience with the Ukrainian London Adventist Church
Some months ago, I accepted a request to share the Word of God with the Ukrainian church in London. The appointment coincidentally fell on Sabbath 5 March, just several days into the current conflict in Ukraine.
As the conflict has escalated, the world’s focus has been on dealing with the injustices happening in that country. And while we witness the tremendous humanitarian work carried out by charities (including ADRA) in the bordering countries of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova and…Source: https://adventist.uk/news/article/go/2022-03-10/1082/
ATSS: Forgotten Women Who Shaped the Church
9 March 2022 | The history of the Adventist church starts with a woman. That woman still holds the highest place of any of our church pioneers. She is quoted, used as a spiritual authority, exalted as a leader, and by some almost worshipped. But after Ellen White, our church history remembered almost none of […] Source: https://atoday.org/atss-forgotten-women-who-shaped-the-church/
Breaking Biases
From suffragettes to supervisors, from revolutions to rights, from struggles to successes, women have been striving for decades for an equitable and inclusive existence, void of discrimination, stereotype and bias.
This determination has paved the way for International Women’s Days like this year’s theme – #BreakTheBias. *1
Challenging behaviours
Hosting various seminars and discussions with women in leadership over the years, I continue to hear of the disparities in how females are treated…Source: https://adventist.uk/news/article/go/2022-03-09/1081/
