Our Merciful God

June 15, 2020 By admin

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Psalm 103:1, 2.

I would call your attention to the precious promises in the Word of God. All who are children of God have not the same powers, the same temperaments, the same confidence and boldness. I am glad indeed that our feelings are no evidence that we are not children of God. The enemy will tempt you to think that you have done things that have separated you from God, and that He no longer loves you, but our Lord loves us still, and we may know by the words He has placed on record for just such cases as yours. “If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1). “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (chap. 1:9).

Now, my dear sister, I have evidence that God loves you, and the precious Saviour, who gave Himself for you, will not thrust you from Him because you are tempted and in your weakness may have been overcome. He loves you still.

Peter denied his Lord in the hour of trial, but Jesus did not forsake His poor disciple. Although Peter hated himself, the Lord loved him, and after His resurrection, He called him by name and sent him a loving message. O, what a kind, loving, compassionate Saviour we have! And He loves us though we err.

Now do not worry yourself out of the arms of the dear Saviour, but rest trustingly in faith. He loves you; He cares for you; He is blessing you, and will give you His peace and grace. He is saying to you, “Thy sins be forgiven thee.” You may be depressed with bodily infirmities, but that is no evidence that the Lord is not working in your behalf every day. He will pardon you, and that abundantly. Gather to your soul the sweet promises of God. Jesus is our constant, unfailing Friend, and He wants you to trust in Him….

Jesus sees the guilt of the past, but He speaks pardon; and we must not dishonor Him by doubting His love. This feeling of guiltiness must be laid at the foot of the cross of Calvary. The sense of sinfulness has poisoned the springs of life and of true happiness. Now Jesus says, “Lay it all on Me. I will take your sins. I will give you peace. Banish no longer your self-respect, for I have bought you with the price of My own blood. You are mine. Your weakened will I will strengthen. Your remorse for sin I will remove.” Then turn your grateful heart, trembling with uncertainty, to Him, and lay hold on the hope set before you.—Letter 49, July 17, 1898, to a dear sister.

Aunt Sevvy, I’m tired of being a lonely virgin!

June 14, 2020 By admin

13 June 2020  | Dear Aunt Sevvy. I’m 27 and I’m still waiting for an Adventist guy—which seems difficult to find. It is difficult to keep my virginity. My feelings and hormones push me to want to have sex, guys are willing to oblige, and I’m tempted. But what I really long for is a […] Source: https://atoday.org/aunt-sevvy-im-tired-of-being-a-lonely-virgin/

What Happens When You Die? ☠️🔎😴

June 13, 2020 By admin

Have you ever wondered what happens when you die? The majority of Christian churches will not teach you what the Bibles really says about this. What happens 2 minutes after you die? Is there life after #death? Is there reincarnation? What about karma? Answers can be found in the #Bible and they speak loudly from this episode: The Grave. This episode will focus on the nature of man and what happens when you die. Great emphasis will be placed upon the reality that death is simply creation in reverse. The state of being during death is a simply unconscious rest awaiting the return of Jesus. This is the seventh episode in the AWR Masterclass series called Unlocking Bible Prophecies. #UBP20 #Ep07. You can follow the series and interact LIVE at: https://bible.awr.org/the-grave/ CAMI OETMAN Ten years ago, Cami Oetman had a real encounter with God that would change her life forever. She was a successful entrepreneur at the time, and the transition wasn’t easy. However, the truth Cami will share in this series was so compelling that she knew every human being in the world should experience the love of Jesus as she had. Within three years, she had preached 350 Bible presentations. Today, as a vice president for Adventist World Radio, Cami travels the world documenting the miracles that take place when people give their hearts to Jesus.
It may seem difficult to imagine yourself understanding Bible prophecy. Cami couldn’t either. She had spent two decades in the modeling world — in front of and behind the camera. She had also used her master’s degree in social work to care for hospice patients. She then started a successful retail business. But no one can predict how they will react when they have a real experience with God! THE GRAVE
Have you experienced the loss of a family member or a loved one? Have you ever found yourself questioning, what happens when you die? We often hear stories of people who have had death experiences; they recall seeing bright lights, visions of Heaven, and even having out-of-body experiences. There is much controversy surrounding the topic of life after death. There are a number of different beliefs that are held by Christians and non-Christians alike. Some believe that, after you die, your soul goes to Heaven or Hell. Others believe in reincarnation or that death is simply the end. The most reliable source we have, the Bible, provides us with a clear answer on what really happens after death.

Many of the beliefs that people have about death today originate from ancient Greek philosophy, which teaches that the soul is immortal– it can live separately from the body and have a life of its own. This means that even after we have died, we are able to think, feel, and communicate with those on Earth and in Heaven. In contrast, the Bible views death as creation, only in reverse. Ecclesiastes 12:7: “Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” God does not allow the soul to keep living after the body has died, instead, He preserves their identity in His mind alone. Their spirit is returned to God in the form of His power.

The Bible consistently refers to death as a sleep, even Jesus himself acknowledges this in the account of Lazarus found in John 11:11-25. God promises that there will be no more pain and suffering in Heaven. If we were able to witness the problems our loved ones are facing on Earth while we are looking down on them, wouldn’t this bring more pain rather than joy? God in His mercy would rather let us sleep than allow us to watch helplessly as our loved ones continue their lives on Earth.

Satan uses these false ideas about death to deceive us. Fallen angels appear to us as messengers, impersonating dead friends and relatives in order to communicate with those who are seeking guidance from them. Many people find comfort in knowing that their loved ones are enjoying Heaven; and, without realizing it, they listen to evil spirits and devils. The Bible predicts that evil angels will give warnings and foretell the future– appearing to be reliable– so their false teachings are accepted. These angels will influence the nations of the world and lead them to end-time events. We should seek our information from the Bible only. Satan can only deceive those who give in to his temptations. Those who rely on God’s word and endeavor to follow the truth will be rescued. Jesus is available to you always; all you have to do is ask Him. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wR6-VS2Y_2A

The Battle Between Good and Evil Revealed! It’s all about you. 😱☠️

June 12, 2020 By admin

Is there anything you can really trust? Where can you find real, authentic answers to life’s greatest questions? “The Great Controversy” outlines a great cosmic battle, between good and evil, and it is centered around you. How can you survive? What is the answer? In the final episode, we will explore the history of the great battle between good and evil. It will show the fall of Lucifer and demonstrate that God has a plan that will overwhelm the devil’s attack. This is the fourteenth and final episode in the AWR Masterclass series called Unlocking Bible Prophecies. You can follow the series and interact LIVE at: https://bible.awr.org/the-blueprint/ CAMI OETMAN Ten years ago, Cami Oetman had a real encounter with God that would change her life forever.
THE BLUEPRINT Have you ever been lost without directions or a map? Did you know that God gave us a roadmap to navigate our lives? In order to read God’s map, we must first understand the great controversy, a cosmic war between God and Satan.

The great controversy began with Lucifer, a heavenly angel, proclaiming in Isaiah 14:14 that he wanted to be “like the Most High.” The problem was that Lucifer wanted to be Holy without following the law of God, which reflects His character of love. God needed a jury to judge Lucifer (who became Satan) fairly and justly (Deuteronomy 19:15), so He created humans, partially to serve as jurors and demonstrate His true character (1 Corinthians 6:2-3). Adam and Eve chose to sin against God, disqualifying them from jury selection, because they were no longer law-abiding citizens. The Gospel was given to restore humanity to be sound jurors, who can distinguish from right and wrong. God knew that we would need a map in order to make our way back to heaven. What is this blueprint? The Sanctuary is a unique structure that represents God’s house among His people (Exodus 25:8). It is also the blueprint to God’s plan of salvation, with each piece of furniture symbolizing a part of the Gospel message. God shows His plan to deliver His people through this blueprint.  God also gives prophecies, which are like landmarks through time. Our first landmark is in the book of Daniel, the 70-week prophecy that foretells the first coming of the Messiah (Daniel 9:24-27). Israel is not prepared for Jesus’ coming and rejects Him. When Jesus died on the cross, the veil of the sanctuary was torn in two, signifying the end of the earthly blueprint (Matthew 27:51).

The second landmark, the prophecy of 1260 years, states that the little horn would rise in power (Daniel 7:19, 25). Many Seventh-day Adventists believe that the little horn represents papal Rome and have interpreted this prophecy to symbolize an attempted change in the Christian day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.  The third landmark, the prophecy of 2300 years, tells us that the sanctuary will be cleansed (Daniel 8:14). We believe that this period of time ended in 1844. Over a period of 500 years, God used the Reformation movement to restore His truth to the world using everyday Christians like you and me.

Finally, we come to our last landmark, the third angel’s message. Revelation 15 and 16 tell us that the seven last plagues are inflicted on those who ignore and reject God’s message. However, those who choose to receive God’s seal are safe (Psalms 91:1-2). The seal of the living God marks the end of our journey (Revelation 7:1-4).

In Revelation 12:10, Satan accuses humanity of falling away from God. However, when God opens the books, heaven’s records show that all our sins have been blotted out. Yes, our merciful God is willing to wipe all our sins away! No matter what you have done, Jesus has enough mercy to cover you.  #GoodandEvil #Bible #UBP20 #Ep14 Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNUaL5IKMLU
