Ranja found solace and encouragement in an AWR (Adventist World Radio) broadcast. This fortified her resolve to follow Jesus, regardless of the spirits' threats. The spirits, which had dominated Ranja life for years, resisted her newfound faith. They particularly detested her listening to AWR and repeatedly warned her against it. However, instead of succumbing to their threats, Ranja persisted in listening to the radio. She discovered that as AWR played, the spirits lost their control over her. Through fervent prayer, scripture reading, and AWR's broadcasts, the spirits eventually left her for good. Today, Ranja lives as a free daughter of God.

The spirits made good on their threat, and her house was consumed by fire, leaving her with nothing. Her neighbors, irate and fearful, accused her of bringing misfortune upon herself and the entire village. The spirits tormented her relentlessly, their power so overwhelming that Ranja contemplated surrendering to them and resuming her life as a witch.
