Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. Psalm 9:5.
Now Satan prepares for a last mighty struggle for the supremacy…. As the wicked dead are raised, and he sees the vast multitudes upon his side, his hopes revive, and he determines not to yield the great controversy…. He represents himself to his deluded subjects as a redeemer, assuring them that his power has brought them forth from their graves…. At last the order to advance is given, and the countless host moves on…. The armies of Satan surround the city, and make ready for the onset.
Fire comes down from God out of heaven. The earth is broken up. The weapons concealed in its depths are drawn forth. Devouring flames burst from every yawning chasm. The very rocks are on fire. The day has come that shall burn as an oven. The elements melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are therein are burned up. The earth’s surface seems one molten mass—a vast, seething lake of fire.
Satan and all who have joined him in rebellion will be cut off. Sin and sinners will perish, root and branch (Malachi 4:1)—Satan the root, and his followers the branches…. “They shall be as though they had not been.” Obadiah 16.
It will be seen that Satan’s rebellion against God has resulted in ruin to himself, and to all that chose to become his subjects. He has represented that great good would result from transgression; but it will be seen that “the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23…. An end will be made of sin, with all the woe and ruin that have resulted from it. Says the psalmist, “Thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end.” Psalm 9:5, 6.
He [Satan] had hoped to break up the plan of salvation; but it was laid too deep…. He himself must finally die, and his kingdom be given to Jesus.

Dear Friends,
Uncle Lloyd and Auntie Bessie were not able to have any children; but when my mother and aunt would come to visit them when they were children, he kept them laughing and happy. My mother fondly remembered him and the good times she had there. Uncle Lloyd was a bit eccentric, however. He could not bring himself to part with anything that had come into his possession. In his basement he had rows of file cabinets full of every letter, every circular, every note that he had ever received. Each was neatly filed and labeled. He would spend hours every evening in his basement going through all of his belongings and rereading many of his favorite correspondences, then filing them neatly away again.
How often we are like Uncle Lloyd. Our whole life is wrapped up in the things that we possess. All of our energies, all of our focus is upon living comfortably, acquiring wealth. Yet, “a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” Luke 12:15 Our Dear Saviour “spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. In the parable of the sower, our Loving Saviour explains the danger of having the wrong focus and becoming “choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring(ing) no fruit to perfection.” Luke 8:14 Unless we turn away from these things and keep our eyes upon our Great Redeemer, we will one day utter those awful words, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” Jer 8:20
Let us never “trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, Who supplies all of our needs.” 1 Tim 6:17 “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:1,2

In the presence of the assembled inhabitants of earth and heaven the final coronation of the Son of God takes place. And now, invested with supreme majesty and power, the King of kings pronounces sentence upon the rebels against His government, and executes justice upon those who have transgressed His law and oppressed His people…. As … the eye of Jesus looks upon the wicked, they are conscious of every sin which they have ever committed…. FLB 356.2
Above the throne is revealed the cross; and like a panoramic view appear the scenes of Adam’s temptation and fall, and the successive steps in the great plan of redemption….
The whole wicked world stand arraigned at the bar of God, on the charge of high treason against the government of heaven. They have none to plead their cause; they are without excuse; and the sentence of eternal death is pronounced against them. It is now evident to all that the wages of sin is not noble independence and eternal life, but slavery, ruin, and death…. Satan seems paralyzed as he beholds the glory and majesty of Christ. He who was once a covering cherub remembers whence he has fallen. A shining seraph, “son of the morning;” how changed, how degraded! …
Satan sees that his voluntary rebellion has unfitted him for heaven. He has trained his powers to war against God; the purity, peace, and harmony of heaven would be to him supreme torture. His accusations against the mercy and justice of God are now silenced. The reproach which he has endeavored to cast upon Jehovah rests wholly upon himself. And now Satan bows down, and confesses the justice of his sentence…. With all the facts of the great controversy in view, the whole universe, both loyal and rebellious, with one accord declare, “Just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.” Revelation 15:3.

—-Please pray for the victims of all of the tornadoes that happened recently.
—-A lady at church just called and asked for prayer for an 80 year old family member who has cancer . and they said he isn’t going to make it. she asked that the family will accept his soon passing and that they will be at peace with the Lord and let the patient go in peace. Also pray for Kristy she is working two jobs her first one she ha sto be at work at 4:am work a few hours then go to her second job then back to her earlier job she doesn’t get home until 10:00 or 11:00. thanks. M.
—-Please pray for my family and I. Two years ago we had a son who was born premature and is ventilator dependent, being medically needy he has a private duty nurse. We had good insurance, but my husband’s company has changed insurance companies and we will no longer have the benefit of a private nurse that is needed. My friends, family and I have been praying for God to show us what He has in store.. But nothing yet. The insurance changes on Sabbath June 1. I have called everyone I can think of with no help. State services says we over income to get their help. Our current nurse is awesome and meticulous in her tasks and treatment of him.. looking to the author and finisher of our faith to help, because right now I am helpless! Debby

Every couple of weeks, we learn a new song for worship. Some of the songs are really old ones, but are new to the children. I thought I would share with you the song we are learning this week. The words of this song have been such a blessing to me over the years. I’ve sung it for special music and often played it for offertory.

May we give our heart to our Dear Saviour for it is the gift that He most desires. May we bring others to His feet that they, too, may receive His blessing of eternal life. May we someday soon see Jesus coming in the clouds to take us to His Heavenly home is my prayer.

And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. Revelation 21:10.
At the close of the thousand years, Christ again returns to the earth. He is accompanied by the host of the redeemed, and attended by a retinue of angels. As He descends in terrific majesty, He bids the wicked dead arise to receive their doom. They come forth, a mighty host, numberless as the sands of the sea. What a contrast to those who were raised at the first resurrection! The righteous were clothed with immortal youth and beauty. The wicked bear the traces of disease and death.
Every eye in that vast multitude is turned to behold the glory of the Son of God. With one voice the wicked hosts exclaim, “Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord!” It is not love to Jesus that inspires this utterance. The force of truth urges the words from unwilling lips. As the wicked went into their graves, so they come forth, with the same enmity to Christ, and the same spirit of rebellion. They are to have no new probation, in which to remedy the defects of their past lives. Nothing would be gained by this. A lifetime of transgressions has not softened their hearts. A second probation, were it given them, would be occupied as was the first, in evading the requirements of God and exciting rebellion against Him.
Christ descends upon the Mount of Olives, whence, after His resurrection, He ascended, and where angels repeated the promise of His return. Says the prophet: “The Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.” “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof, … and there shall be a very great valley.” Zechariah 14:5, 4…. As the New Jerusalem, in its dazzling splendor, comes down out of heaven, it rests upon the place purified and made ready to receive it, and Christ, with His people and the angels, enters the holy city.

Dear Friends,
One time, when my mother was young, she wanted to go to Detroit to visit her aunt and uncle. Her friend, Mary Esther, was driving there to see someone and offered to let my mother ride with her. When Mary Esther arrived at her destination, my mother could take the city bus the rest of the way. She got out of the car, picked up her suitcase and her purse and waited at the corner bus stop. When the bus arrived, she found that she would have to transfer at a main connection somewhere downtown. When she got there, she saw many busses and began to feel a little confused. Carefully, she read the sign on each bus. At last she saw a bus that was going to Royal Oak (a suburb of Detroit). She climbed aboard and the bus left the terminal. At least she thought she was going to Royal Oak, but she had misread the sign. After riding on that bus for awhile, it stopped and the driver told her that it was the end of the line and she would have to get off. Embarrassed, she didn’t tell him where she was going. She just followed his orders. Looking around her, my mother soon realized that she was not only lost, she was in a very bad neighborhood. Fear crept over her. Then she saw a policeman who hailed a taxi and headed her in the right direction. How thankful she was to finally get to her aunt’s house. How relieved she was to be in a place of safety.
How often it is the same in our life. We can sincerely think that we are on the right “bus” but in reality be on the wrong one. The Bible tells us, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Prov 16:25 Our Dear Saviour bids us, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matt 7:13,14
Solomon speaks of this path. “Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Prov 4:10-27
How necessary it is that we choose the narrow path. Paul bids us, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.” 2 Cor 13:5 There is only One Standard by which to know if we are on that right path. Our Great Redeemer has given us His Holy Word as our Guidebook. Everything in our life must be checked by it’s precepts. All that we hear, all that we see, all that we read must be measured by the Standard of All Righteousness. How important it is to daily read God’s Great Instruction Book. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb 4:12 “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” James 1:21-25
Let us “study to show [ourselves] approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” that we may be assured that we are on the right “bus” of life. 2 Tim 2:15 Let us hide God’s Word in our hearts that we may follow the right path, the rugged and narrow path, that leads to His Glorious Heavenly Kingdom is my prayer. (Ps 119:9-11)

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 1 Corinthians 6:3.
During the thousand years between the first and the second resurrection, the judgment of the wicked takes place…. At this time the righteous reign as kings and priests unto God. John in the Revelation says: “I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them.” “They shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4, 6. It is at this time that, as foretold by Paul, “the saints shall judge the world.” 1 Corinthians 6:2. In union with Christ they judge the wicked, comparing their acts with the statute book, the Bible, and deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body. Then the portion which the wicked must suffer is meted out, according to their works; and it is recorded against their names in the book of death.
Satan also and evil angels are judged by Christ and His people. Says Paul, “Know ye not that we shall judge angels?” And Jude declares that “the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” Jude 6.
At the close of the thousand years the second resurrection will take place. Then the wicked will be raised from the dead, and appear before God for the execution of “the judgment written.” Thus the revelator, after describing the resurrection of the righteous, says, “The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.” Revelation 20:5. And Isaiah declares, concerning the wicked, “They shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.” Isaiah 24:22.
The penalty for breaking the law of God is proportionate to the price paid to redeem its transgressors. What unutterable bliss is prepared for those who will be saved through Christ, and what depths of woe for those who despise and reject His great salvation!

Dear Friends,

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. Revelation 20:1, 2.
At the coming of Christ the wicked are blotted from the face of the whole earth—consumed with the spirit of His mouth, and destroyed by the brightness of His glory. Christ takes His people to the city of God, and the earth is emptied of its inhabitants….
The whole earth appears like a desolate wilderness. The ruins of cities and villages destroyed by the earthquake, uprooted trees, ragged rocks thrown out by the sea or torn out of the earth itself, are scattered over its surface, while vast caverns mark the spot where the mountains have been rent from their foundations.
Here is to be the home of Satan with his evil angels for a thousand years. Here he will be confined, to wander up and down over the broken surface of the earth and see the effects of his rebellion against God’s law. For a thousand years he can enjoy the fruit of the curse which he has caused. Limited alone to the earth, he will not have the privilege of ranging to other planets, to tempt and annoy those who have not fallen. During this time, Satan suffers extremely. Since his fall his evil traits have been in constant exercise. But he is then to be deprived of his power, and left to reflect upon the part which he has acted since his fall, and to look forward with trembling and terror to the dreadful future, when he must suffer for all the evil that he has done and be punished for all the sins that he has caused to be committed.
I heard shouts of triumph from the angels and from the redeemed saints, which sounded like ten thousand musical instruments, because they were to be no more annoyed and tempted by Satan and because the inhabitants of other worlds were delivered from his presence and his temptations.

He went trough a major surgery which lasted for 5 hours, he is still unconscious. he is on ventilation, most of his organs are infected and also undergoing dialysis. Please pray for his recovery. Roy

—-My Mother is in need of healing. She is 86 and is in afib. She has had her heart shocked 3 times and they do not want to do it again. So she is still in afib and we will try and control it with medication. Also she has dementia and she has been hallucinating which has been causing problems too. Please pray for Gods will in her life. I am asking for a miracle of complete healing. Carla

Dear Friends,
When I first began going to church, a group of us would go to a nursing home in the afternoon to sing for the elderly residents there. The odor of stale urine hung thickly in the air, the residents were dirty and unkempt. It was an awful place.
Years later, Ron and I worked in an extended care facility that was somewhat better, yet our heart went out to the patients there. They really wanted to go home, yet it seemed their family had largely abandoned them. The CNA’s often made fun of the patients or sadly neglected them. We felt very sorry for their plight.
Over the years, I have had little patience with anyone who put their loved one in a nursing home (even a good nursing home). I felt that they were selfish and inconsiderate of their dear one’s desires and needs. I declared loud and long that I would never do such a thing. Caring for family at home was the right thing to do and I would do what was right. I would never allow my loved one to be placed in the care of others.
How careful we need to be in our judgement of others. Many times He Who said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again,” places us in a situation where we must do that very thing for which we had criticized others. Matt 7:1,2 After trying to care for my ailing mother at home for over a year while still working full time, she had come to the point where she could not stay by herself while I worked because she had stopped walking or being cooperative in even the smallest matters. We could not afford to bring in a full-time caregiver. Finally, I had to make the agonizing decision to place her in a nursing facility.
Although Ron and I looked for the best place we could find, it still went against every thing we believed in. It was overwhelming and stressful beyond anything I had imagined. I shed many tears. I said many prayers for God’s leading.
Each evening, as I visited my mother, I had the opportunity to see family members of some of the residents there and their interaction with them. Faithfully, each evening they too would help their dear one in various ways. Tenderly, they too did what they could to make them comfortable.
Suddenly, I realized that there were some others who have had to put their loved ones in such a place and had not wanted to do it any more than I had. They also had agonized over their decision. They also had been in a situation where caring for their family member at home became too difficult or as impossible as it had been for us. It must had been a heart-wrenching decision for them as well.
This experience taught me much about how I view the things others do and say. It showed me many things about myself that I had not realized was even there. It taught me to be much kinder in my estimation of those around me and how they react to their unique situation.
May we never wrap our “self-righteous robes” about ourselves looking “down our noses” at others for the decisions they make. May we be kind and loving to those around us, helping them bear their burdens as Paul says, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Phil 2:3, 4 May we be as our Dear Saviour Who “went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil” is my prayer. Acts 10:38
