Tuesday: Under His Feet

May 26, 2025 By admin

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 27th of May 2025

Read Psalms 47:1-4. What does it say about our place, ultimately, in Christ’s kingdom?

Long term, the future is bright. Until then, humanity ceded dominion over the planet to Lucifer, and by the time Satan appeared at the heavenly council in Job, he boasted that this earth belonged to him.

“ ‘From where do you come?’ ” God asked.

“ ‘From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it,’ ” he replied (Job 1:7, NKJV).

Satan was declaring ownership; the foot was used in antiquity to represent ownership. “ ‘Arise, walk through the length and the breadth of the land,’ ” God instructed Abraham, “ ‘for I will give it to you’ ” (Genesis 13:17, ESV).

Compare 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and Zechariah 14:4, and pay attention to Christ’s feet. What differences do you find between these passages, and what do they teach us about these two different, though related, aspects of Christ’s ultimate sovereignty of this world?

Talking about what Christ does at the end of the millennium, Ellen G. White wrote: “Christ descends upon the Mount of Olives, whence, after His resurrection, He ascended, and where angels repeated the promise of His return. Says the prophet: ‘The Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with Thee.’ ‘And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof, . . . and there shall be a very great valley.’ ‘And the Lord shall be King over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and His name one.’ Zechariah 14:4-5,9. As the New Jerusalem, in its dazzling splendor, comes down out of heaven, it rests upon the place purified and made ready to receive it, and Christ, with His people and the angels, enters the Holy City.”—The Great Controversy, Pages 662, 663.

Look at the hope we have been given in Jesus. Think about how hard life would be if everything ended, forever, with death. It would all be futile, would it not?

9: In the Psalms: Part 2 — Singing with Inspiration

May 25, 2025 By admin

To learn of the “Allusions, Images and Symbols” in Bible Prophecy we are really in great need of saying to God
Give Me The Bible – Hymn 272 so we are able to learn with His abundant help. This will be our theme for this, the second quarter of Bible Study, 2025.

Our Memory Text encourages us to “praise you, Our God”. We are able to do this in
Hymn 30 – O Praise Ye The Lord,
Hymn 25 – Praise The Lord, His Glories Show, Alleluia,
Hymn 26 – Praise The Lord, You Heavens Adore Him,
Hymn 29 – Sing Praise To God Who Reigns Above and
Hymn 30 – Holy God, We Praise Your Name, just name a few from our SDA Hymnal.

God is “A Very Present Help in the Time of Trouble” says Sunday’s study time. We are encouraged in Psalm 46:10 “be still….” as does
Hymn 461 – Be Still, My Soul with us knowing that we have
A Mighty Fortress – Hymn 506 in our wonderful God. The study continues and shows us that
Jesus Is Coming Again – Hymn 213.

With all the turmoil in the world, Monday climaxes in showing us that we can
Hold Fast Til I Come – Hymn 600.

It is with gratefulness we can see that
God Is My Strong Salvation – Hymn 339 (Friday), knowing that “Christ makes it possible for God’s face to shine on us”:
Hymn 345 – Christ Is The World’s True Light because “God intends that we reflect His Light to the rest of the world”:
Hymn 580 – This Little Light Of Mine I’m going to let it shine. We are able to do this splendidly when asking
Jesus, Guide Our Way – Hymn 553 as it says on Friday – “Christ: He guides and empowers us”.

Please continue to search the scriptures this week to be blessed, and to bless others.

To learn unknown hymns, you will find the accompaniment music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/

Another great resource is for when there is a hymn you wish to sing but can’t find it in your hymnal. Go to https://www.sdahymnal.org/Search and in the search bar type a special word in that is in the hymn. I am sure you will be amazed at the help you will be given.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

9: In the Psalms Part 2 — Teaching Plan

May 25, 2025 By admin

Key Thought: These Psalms present God as our Refuge, our King, our Judge, and our Priest. He comforts, protects, delivers, and is our justice.
May 31, 2025

1. Have a volunteer read Jeremiah 4:23-26, Psalm 46.

  1. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
  2. What is this telling us about the fate of the pre-Advent world?
  3. Personal Application: Even though our world seems chaotic and out of control, how can we believe that things will work out for us if we remain faithful? Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: One of your relatives states, “What about those in other countries who haven’t heard or don’t want to listen to the Christian message? Are they going to be left to die outside of Christ if we don’t reach them, or is God going to take the work in His own hands?” How would you respond to your relative?

2. Have a volunteer read Psalm 47:1-4.

  1. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
  2. What does this tell us about our place in Christ’s kingdom?
  3. Personal Application: How do you think God intends to finish His work? What part do His church members play? Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: One of your friends states, “I don’t know if God exists. I think it is an invention to keep people in line and follow the rules, an opiate for the masses. We live, we die, that’s it. We just have to try and make things as pleasant in this life as possible.” How would you respond to your friend?

3. Have a volunteer read Psalm 7:5, Rev. 14:9-12.

  1. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point in this text is.
  2. What are some of the issues in the judgment?
  3. Personal Application: What present events could easily lead to what is coming in the last days? What obstacles are still in place? Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “We should as Christians try to make this world as perfect as we can. We should be involved in political, social, civil, and economic issues to make things in our lives as good as we can..” How would you respond to your neighbor?

4. Have a volunteer read Psalm 67, Revelation 14:6-12.

  1. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
  2. How does this psalm help you understand the role of God’s people in Revelation 14:6-12?.
  3. Personal Application: What obligations should we as individuals and as a church feel toward teaching others the truths that are essential to the everlasting gospel? Share your thoughts.
  4. Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.

(Truth that is not lived, that is not imparted, loses its life-giving power, its healing virtue. Its blessings can be retained only as it is shared. ”Ministry of Healing, p. 148).
