Students plant tree seedlings to strengthen the environment
Students at Posse Adventist School in Goiás, Brazil, recently planted more than 300 Ipê tree seedlings on the school campus as part of the “Sustainable School” project, an initiative of the Adventist Education Network in Midwest Brazil. This special initiative emphasizes environmental preservation.

Chosen International Camporee—donated items pour in to aid ministries
When Kiana Roat, former principal of Green Bay Adventist Junior Academy in Wisconsin, approached Pathfinder area coordinator Becky Zeismer last year with the idea of collecting sleeping bags no longer needed after Oshkosh, the two had no idea what to expect.

Situations that cause people to feel hopeless are unique in each case — but having suicidal thoughts is not. These thoughts can be overwhelming and frightening, and it can be challenging for a child or teen to know the best way to cope.

No leg, new life
Lepani Kuruduadua felt like his life was over.
The retired schoolteacher accidentally cut his right leg with a knife while repairing a church in a Fijian village, Naqarani. The wound didn’t heal and, because Lepani had diabetes, only got worse. Finally, the doctor said the leg had to be amputated.
