The New Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church in Overland Park, Kansas, has helped address food insecurity in the greater Kansas City area since 2011. Over the nine-year span, its food pantry “Renewed Hope” has grown from a literal closet filled with food to give to people in need who happen to drop by the church to a robust operation that has become a community-staple.

A Seventh-day Adventist Church in Taiwan’s high-tech center is reaching students at the city’s top two universities, rated among the best technology schools in the nation.

New school dedicated in the Solomon Islands
There was much joy and excitement at the dedication of a new Adventist school in Central Kolombangara, Solomon Islands, on May 18. Many locals came to celebrate the dedication service for Patpaele Adventist Secondary School in the western Solomon Islands. The service was organized by Central Kolombangara district leader Kele Hana. Among the attendees was Solomon Islands Mission education director Billy Leta. Youth led and run “The Tent” evangelistic meetings go virtual
On Friday, May 22, 2020, the first ever virtual “The Tent” meeting, a collaboration between the Ruth Murdoch Elementary School and Pioneer Memorial Church (PMC) youth ministries, premiered on YouTube and Facebook. “The Tent,” as it is known, has been an evangelistic series put on by junior high students in a large tent on the campus of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. For the past seven years, the program has occurred every May.
