On Adventist appeal, Angola reviews Sabbath exams
Angola’s president and parliamentary speaker agreed to consider excusing Seventh-day Adventist students from Sabbath exams in state universities and other public schools at the request of church president Ted N.C. Wilson.
A crowd of 35,000 Adventists shouted and clapped with joy when Wilson announced the government’s pledge during a Sabbath sermon in a sports stadium in Angola’s capital, Luanda. Sabbath observance is a major challenge for many Adventist students in the African country.

Vatuvonu Adventist High School case heads to the appeals court
The long-running case between the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fiji and the Fijian Government over Vatuvonu Adventist High School returns to court today (February 14).
The case will be heard by three judges in the Fiji Court of Appeal after the government launched an appeal against the judgement handed down by the High Court of Fiji on November 22, 2019.
