In St. Thomas, church impacts families through neighbor-to-neighbor community initiative
Seventh-day Adventists from the Shiloh Adventist Church recently provided spiritual support, health and wellness services, school supplies and personal items to dozens in the surrounding community of Anna’s Retreat in St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands. Church members spent the day ministering to community members on Saturday, Sep. 14, 2019.

Pastor finds a church “ready” in a city he dreamed about
One night Pastor Vilson de Souza Lima had dream. He dreamed there was an Adventist church in the city of Alvorada do Sul, in northern Paraná, Brazil. The dream was so vivid that he felt he needed to act on it. He contacted Church leaders and requested that Alvorada do Sul, a city that had no Adventist presence, be annexed to his district so he could plant a church there. Students plant tree seedlings to strengthen the environment
Students at Posse Adventist School in Goiás, Brazil, recently planted more than 300 Ipê tree seedlings on the school campus as part of the “Sustainable School” project, an initiative of the Adventist Education Network in Midwest Brazil. This special initiative emphasizes environmental preservation.
