A 2018 survey conducted by the Australian Psychological Society and Swinburne University has found that one in four Australian adults are lonely. One in two (50.5%) Australians feel lonely for at least one day in a week, while one in four (27.6%) feel lonely for three or more days. The Seventh-day Adventist Church leadership in the Inter-American Division (IAD) wants all of its administrators, pastors, lay preachers, Bible instructors, small group leaders and church members to focus on a comprehensive plan to baptize more than 200,000 new believers by the end of this quinquennium, which ends in June 2020. Rorive Vinga introduced a friend to Christ when he was only a boy.

We would rejoice if there were NO World Refugee Sabbath – because there were NO refugees.  Sadly that is not the case, so for the fourth year running, the Trans-European Division, in partnership with the Inter-European Division and ADRA Europe, is highlighting the needs of refugees and migrants in Europe. Our focus this year is Hospitality, based on the words of Hebrews 12:2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers…”
