There was much joy and excitement at the dedication of a new Adventist school in Central Kolombangara, Solomon Islands, on May 18. Many locals came to celebrate the dedication service for Patpaele Adventist Secondary School in the western Solomon Islands. The service was organized by Central Kolombangara district leader Kele Hana. Among the attendees was Solomon Islands Mission education director Billy Leta. On Friday, May 22, 2020, the first ever virtual “The Tent” meeting, a collaboration between the Ruth Murdoch Elementary School and Pioneer Memorial Church (PMC) youth ministries, premiered on YouTube and Facebook. “The Tent,” as it is known, has been an evangelistic series put on by junior high students in a large tent on the campus of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) offices in the South Pacific have secured funding of more than $A1.7 million to support communities devastated by Tropical Cyclone Harold.
