Adventist University and Sanitarium team up to perform swabs and coronavirus tests
A Seventh-day Adventist hospital in Argentina is increasing efforts to help test and treat the novel coronavirus that’s swept across the globe, including the South American nation. As of June 28, Argentina has reported 57,744 cases of COVID-19, of which 20,134 are listed as recovered. Tragically, however, 1,217 Argentinians have died from the virus.

Record Rewind: Meet the Parkers
Arthur F Parker was born on June 30, 1899 in Victoria, Australia. He accepted the Adventist message in 1911 after visitation and Bible studies by Adventist workers. Initially, he worked as a machinist in a sawmill, then a literature evangelist.

ADRA’s solidary trailer completes 4 years of work
The mobile service unit of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) completed four years of work on June 26, 2020, reaching the milestone of 20,000 people assisted.
Created to serve communities affected by disasters, the mobile aid station has served victims of tragedies such as the January 2019 Brumadinho dam disaster in Minas Gerais; landslides in São Paulo, and now in support of the fight against the coronavirus.

Scholarship program designed to increase diversity of mental health workforce
Loma Linda University’s School of Behavioral Health will be distributing $2.97 million in scholarship funds to students in the Department of Psychology during the coming five years, following receipt of a grant award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
