When I read it I know God is personally talking to me, just as He was personally talking to Martin Luther as he read the Bible chained to the monastery wall in Europe in 1517, and just as He was personally talking to Ellen White as she read the sacred pages on the Alameda as it sailed the South Pacific on its way to Australia is 1891, and just as He was personally talking to the business secretary who read the Bible app on her tablet commuting on the New York subway last evening. The Bible brings me into a one-on-one personal relationship with Jesus. It also ties me to billions of people around the globe throughout earth’s history. Last Christmas while I was on vacation, I went golfing with a buddy in Western Arkansas near Ozark Adventist Academy
