Commentary by Edwin Reynolds:
"Genesis 49 brings us a serious warning: Our deeds and choices have a decided influence on our lives and on our descendants. Many times we are surprised to see how our children Christian and Giovani have behaviors and defects similar to ours. We know that drawing a path of their own has been a struggle, a rational and spiritual quest to strengthen the good characteristics and minimize the bad influences we conveyed to them. But Genesis 49 also brings good news: we do not necessarily have to be bound by the curse of a bad origin. The grace of God can turn a curse into a blessing. Simeon and Levi, on account of their violent character, influenced the dispersion of their tribes in Israel (v.7). But on account of a wise choice by the tribe of Levi to stand against the easy path of idolatry (Ex. 32:26), God chose the Levites as a priestly tribe for Israel. We have two choices today: to just lament our environmental and hereditary weaknesses, or to submit to the action of the Holy Spirit to transform our character into the likeness of Jesus. God can turn your good choices into a good harvest with eternal effects on our natural and spiritual children." ❤️ Jump to Daily Bible Reading https://www.revivalandreformation.org/bhp/en/bible/gen/49 Our accounts in other social networks:

2 March 2022 | by Gerald Winslow I look forward to meeting with the AT Sabbath Seminar this coming Sabbath. For those who would benefit from study of a passage from Scripture, let me propose Acts 15, the entire chapter. That’s a bit long for a memory verse. But, if you’re willing, you’ll have opportunity to […] Source: https://atoday.org/atss-who-decides-exploring-realms-of-adventist-moral-authority/
